>I was just pointing this out since LostTribes represents this information as undisputed fact

Virtually everything presented on FR is presented as undisputed fact. That's the way the court of public opinion works. You seem AWFULLY threatened by what he is offering for consideration and discussion.

Please try using some honey and logic and facts instead of throwing acid on everyone you disagree with. FR is not about street warfare and goons and thugs, it is about ideas and opinions and freedom to think and express those thoughts. It is not about tyrrany, but about reason. If you really are a college student, please start acting like one. And if you really are a Republican please show you are intellectually capeable of being one, for others are watching us too.

So anyone who disagrees with you is not a good republican or a good college student? Get a life!

I'm not trying to shut LostTribes up. I am merely presenting some information about Gene Scott to the people who read LostTribe's profile...

The Jerusalem Report (put out by same folks as Jerusalem Post) had a similar article a few months ago. There are several Jewish traditions that can be found in Afghanistan, and during the 50s Afghans talked quite openly about it. But that tradition faded away...

I am really a college student. Are you really in Mensa?? All I did in this thread was point out that many consider Gene Scott to be a cult leader who makes things up. Why does that upset you so much??? Is there some reason you do not want FR to know that this guy is not credible??

Yes you are, and you consistantly exhibit the characteristics of a bully and a coward. You attack someones ideas like a street goon, then lie about your intent. That has the intellectual virtue of professional wrestling. You get the respect you give. How much respect does that entitle you to?

Please don't represent yourself to be a Republican, for those are not Republican "virtues" and it demeans the rest of us.

That's right! I attack someone's ideas. I don't attack the person. You seem to resort to attacking people, rather than thier ideas!

Of course not, it is a Jewish site, and maybe they don't want any competetion for "preferred status" of "chosen people", or whatever is at stake here. But I don't see anyone bashing that site as the home of some wierd Jewish Cult. Let history and ideas stand or fall on their own. There is nothing like fresh air and sunshine to separate the good ones from the bad ones.

I just mean the stuff that Gene Scott spews out is largely BS and his organization borders on (if not outright is) a cult, according to some groups. And I was then pointing out that the source of LostTribe's profile and info is Gene Scott. That's my only point...I report, you decide...:)

Hmmm, maybe. But I read Lost Tribes Profile, and I decided you must have some grievance against him or against Christianity, or maybe you just don't like history.

It looks to me like his sources are largely Biblical and historical, with a primary supplemental reference to a book on Assyrian history. Then a secondary reference to a mainline historic Christian church in England, with a 3rd level reference to materials by a Dr. Gene Scott, whoever he is. To say the source of LostTribe's profile and info is Gene Scott is obviously (even laughably) not true.

So just what's your problem? With the exception of a new (to me) historical interpretation regarding the origin of the Celts, there is nothing very different there at all. In my mind you are not even close to making your case.

It is not a new "interpretation", but has become a more prominent and respectable one the last few decades supported by numerous archeological finds. Celtic studies are a fine art in Europe, and there is now little doubt that the main body of Celts "originated" in great quantity south and west of the Caucasus mountains, sometime around 600 BC.

There were 3 separate FR threads about finding the Celts in Turkey in this major New York Times article not long ago. It identifies as Celts the Galatians who the Apostle Paul visited and recorded in his Book of Galatians.

I just posted the link because to me it was a well put together link, easily understood. I don't think it's meant to be all inclusive. I've read about the Celts as a possibility, as well as several American Indian tribes. I think this is an interesting topic, the Pashtun (sp?) evidence seems serious, but as a casual reader I'm not sure any of it is compelling.
