An alleged gang member who slashed his defense attorney's face in front of stunned jurors during his trial was sentenced Thursday to more than 10 years in prison for an earlier assault.

Daniel Verduzco, 21, received his sentence of 10 years and 4 months in prison over a loudspeaker in a holding cell. He was barred from the courtroom because he was considered a security risk, court clerk Anthony Klune said.

This useless piece of sh!t helps illustrate why there must be a death penalty.

If the worst thing that can happen to this guy no matter what he does is being sentence to life in prison without the possibility of parole and he has already been given that sentence, how much would they have to pay you to guard him?

Also illustrates just why certain prisoners - any kind of prisoners, just cannot be treated according to the usually prescribed rules. A bit of a wordy comment, but it strikes a bell here- re those ******** in Camp X-ray. Safety and security first.

The attack happened before the verdict. So why did he do it? He didn't like the lawyer's closing argument?

His behavior rather cast doubt upon his credibility that he was innocent in other areas, don't you think?

The thing is, why would he care? He has already been sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole. What difference does it make if they sentence him to a few more years or even several hundred years in prison?

The best thing that could happen would be for him to get shot trying to escape.

Yes, but if he needs a heart transplant, he will surely get one, at taxpayers expense.
