Democrat Governor hopefuls Thomas Birmingham and Treas. Shannon O'Brien 'will flex their grassroots political muscle' in today's local Mass. Democrat caucuses.
50 thousand activists will select 'more than' 3,900 delegates for the June 2002 nominating convention.
Those delegates along with the 1,147 elected and party officials will 'determine who among the five candidates' will make it to the 9/02 primary ballot.
Birminghan and O'Brien 'are expected to dominate,' while ex-DNC chair Steve Grossman, ex-state Senator Warren Tolman and ex-Labor Secretary Robert Reich 'scramble to clear' the 15% threshold to make the ballot.
One or two of the candidates 'may fold their campaigns' after a poor showing, with both Tolman and Reich 'at risk.'

Too bad Rush isn't on the air today, he would have a lot of fun with this. Yeah, that's true. Look at it this way: he has the weekend to perfect his discussion. LOL!

Aw shucks, that's too darn bad. But this means the insufferable Reich will be back offering his opinions to the whole country on NPR. Then again, I could turn it off...

Aw shucks, that's too darn bad. But this means the insufferable Reich will be back offering his opinions to the whole country .....
Isn't he the pompous little bastard, though?
For one who comes up so short on even basic common sense; let alone a grip on economics 101 -- or veracity; he is surely way long on delusions of grandeuer!
To: umbra
He was never in the race. Aside from Howie Carr jokes about his stature, I'm not sure I've heard any discussion of Reich's "candidacy" in the local media over the last several months. He thought his connection to Clinton's coattails meant something but it didn't impress the state democrat machine. They weren't about to give him their place in line.
Contrary to what out of state FReepers may think, this doesn't represent a repudiation of Clinton, or even anything that conservatives should take comfort in. IMHO he's being scratched before getting in the starting gate mainly because he's not one of them, not because he's too liberal or too associated with the Clinton family.

Delusions Of Grandeur is Hitting the nail on the head!Since his APPT. in #42's Cabinet he's spoken in that whiny "Better than thou" "If you don't listen to me now" kind of tone w/ a bit of sweetener in it.He never appealed to me,so I'm PROUD he may lose out today! This would be a glorious affront to # 42!

Imanuel looks like he's got hepatitis. Just pure speculation on my part, but I'm guessing ol' Rahm has a bi-sexual background and hepatitis is very common amongst the ballet-dancing "swishes". AIDS of course is talked about a whole lot more, but hepatitis is spread through intimate contact as well.

Since he has a wife and children, including a new baby, I don't think he's gay. He just has the usual leftwing evil twisting inside him and becoming more visible on the outside.
I wish Navigator was here to post the pic of Rahm in the tutu.
