So this is the definitive proof that you are a bunch of undemocratic nazis. You don't want to discuss anything. You think to be the sole depository of TRUTH. You can do as you want, fill your ears with cotton, but always remember:only God knows the truth. Expell me if you want. I accept to face people with different opinions, and i'm pride of this ,regardless my personal opinions. You don't. You FEAR to understand something that could change your mind. So either you aren't firm in your beliefs or you are firm but without enough arguments to defend them.

Old Communist.

I was told the other day by a moderator that a thread was pulled because it was "tabloid material". Is this something new? It seems "news" from tabloids used to be allowed.

The idea is to get more conservatives elected, not to trash the ones you don't like. If you want to trash someone, make it a Democrat.

The Lord disciplines those he loves....

How on earth can you not "criticize" a conservative candidate on their election strategy policy in hopes they would improve it...

By remaining quiet while an idiotic strategy self-destructs a candidate or cause? Hardly. That's what PC is- shut up lest you offend anyone- THAT'S plain idiocy for Conservatives to take up... utter silliness.

Hardly something FR should even remotely engage in.

Let me say it clearly:

THE BEST THING ABOUT FREE REPUBLIC IS THE VANITY POSTS

You can get the rest of the dam articles elsewhere for Pete's sake.. duh.....

And who's the goofball that actually doesn't like the (my title) headings? That is EXACTLY what peaks interest in otherwise unnotable, but perhaps worthy articles or information...

As for the commies posting? Yeah, it seems like there are more of the loony libs showing up- get rid of them, but don't ask conservatives to remain mum about conservative candidates or officials that are blowing it and could use some constructive criticism...

The last thing conservatives need is to go into the la la land of Politically Correct baloney--- "oh deary me, don't criticize a candidate's political tactics or strategy because someone might get offended.."

Call a spade a spade and deal with reality... That's what conservatives do best--- REALITY.

If someone wants pie in the sky, gooshy love fest conservatism- go somewhere other than FR...

That's what I think.

Thanks for the work you do. An unintended consequence of unfair posters is heavier rules for all of us. It's sad. Are all the "mistakes" unintentional or are we dealing with very sophisticated disrupters?

Here is my two cents worth on this issue.

Back in December of 1999, I got a computer for Christmas. Not long after I got the computer, I started familarizing myself with the internet and everything that goes on. My first experience with a political message board was one run by a state newspaper. It was continously spammed by rabid Democrat activists. Everytime I would try to post a message promoting the conservative agenda, some no-good sleazebucket would try to play moderator and tell me to shut up that I was wasting bandwidth. Apparently, she didn't have a problem with Gore supporters promoting their candidate but When I tried to promote Bush was when she had a cow. This difficult experience happened during the 2000 presidential election. I finally decided I had enough of this nonsense and gave up on that forum.

In 2001 I logged onto Free Republic. I lurked here for several months and finally became a member in August of '01. Later, I began composing a series of commentaries called "A Freeper's Observation." These commentaries fall under the category, "Your Opinion, Questions." The reason why is because these posts are my opinions on issues of public importance as opposed to articles from news outlets or other people's opinions posted in other categories.

A couple of these forums were recently disrupted by a few troublemakers who apprently seem to think that because their way of thinking is more superior than mine that it somehow qualifies them to play moderator when in reality J.R. never appointed them to that position. I must tell youthat it so annoyed me that I decided to take a break from bumping threads sent to me, including a CCRM thread. I've been promoting that organization ever since I found out about it after I mentioned that a large number of my letters to the editor were about media bias.

I might add that I have seen a lot of the posts by one of the disruptors since I've bee here at FR and a lot of these comments leave an awful lot to be desired IMHO. They sound a lot more statist than they do conservative.

When people go and pretend to be forum moderator when they haven't been assigned to be one, it does a lot more enormous harm than good. For one thing, it detracts from from what the main purpose of the forum is which is to advance the conservative agenda. Instead of addressing issues of public importance which is what we should be doing, we are tied up with what the troublemaker did. This kind of nonsense was what led me to give up on the last forum to start with.

What i would suggest is this, If you don't like what I or any other freeper posts, then don't read it. But to go and put something in this category simply because you don't like the poster or what he or she thinks or believes or just because you don't like him or her is stupid, idiotic, foolish and annoying and makes forums like this look like a complete joke.

I must say that the folks in the establishment media whom I've been an ardent critic of over the last several years are really getting a kick out seeing one of their critics getting flamed. This happened to me constantly in the other forum when I addressed the issue. The Demorats in that forum are such big fans of CNN and the big three.

If everyone would just leave the forum moderating to those assigned to do so and those in charge instead of trying to do it themselves, I think everyone would get along a lot better and maybe we can get back to advancing the conservative agenda.
Reagrds.

Apparently, a thread borne of a UK Guardian piece (a recognized, respectable publication) been deleted TWICE because it raises questions about incest. Any time I see this use of moderation power, I'm troubled by actions taken to prevent freepers from discussing moral issues involved. I get quite annoyed when I'm drafting a reply only to get an error when hitting "post" and return to the thread to see it was already deleted.

In defiance of the thread's most recent unexplained deletion, which is where it came to my attention, I'm responding here to Senator Pardek's challenge:

My question is this - why is finding same gender sex distasteful a hate crime, but finding intrafamily sex distasteful acceptable?

I'll attempt to partially address the challenge, even if I find it a bogus comparison. Drawing a parallel with sexual harrassment and the relative power gap of the "perp" and "victim", I'll submit no child can truly consent, even as a legal adult, to sexual relations with a parent.
