And believe me. I swing a lot of dead cats.

Lol... and in many different forms, my good doctor!

That's why I put "Christians" in quotes. See #36.

Christ healed the sick, forgave sinners, and gave his life to save us all. Mohammed personally ordered the murder and excile, of Jews, pagans, Christians, and any one else who got in his way. Are we still sweeping that bit of history under the rug?

I'm an atheist, why would I defend a nutball religion like Islam?

it's a proven fact that more have been murdered in the attempt to spread Atheism than the attempt to spread Christianity.

As a conservative, you may be the exception, but I suspect that it wasn't the spreading of atheism that resulted in so much murder. It was the spreading of the State as God - something many misinterpret as atheism. All too often, many "atheists" are the most extreme religious zealots that exist. Their religion is either Anti-Christian or Pro-State, not a mere lack of belief. Most self proclaimed "atheists" are certainly not void of religion - they are just too stupid and misguided to realize it.

Christ ... gave his life

In what way? He was out like three days -- more like a good sleep or a mini-coma. Not much of a big deal in an INFINITE friking lifetime!

Yes, your religionist argument there is so brilliant.

Well gee, I might have slept two days once when I was really sick. Am I some sort of demi-god? A 2/3rd'ser?

Some like to equate Christanity with Islam. I wish to disuade people of this inclination. The two faiths are like night and day.-MM

Similar but different. Both nutball at the core though.

I understand your atempt at humor. Christ rose again after three days to save us all from sin and death. It is believed that he selected three days because it was nessecary to show his deciples that he was very much dead and then very much alive again. Even then people had trouble believing what they couldn't see or touch.-MM

Yes, your religionist argument there is so brilliant.

Nice kneejerk reaction there Mr. Rational One. I was actually absolving Senator Pardek of my charge against the majority of atheists, and in my comments suggested that "Atheist Conservatives" or even libertarians may fit the gist of my argument much less than "Atheist Liberals."

You apparently did not read my entire argument and thus upon reading the conclusion, drew instant, unnecessary offense. Or were you offended because you actually are one of those that worship the state or feel it necessary to prove your atheism by arrogantly attacking or mocking those with a religous conviction?

FYI, I am agnostic. I don't "feel" God, but I am not so arrogant to believe that I can "know" He doesn't exist.

Regarding my post #53, the answer to my question has already been made clear. I should amend my original comments to include the word "arrogant" along with "stupid" I guess.

You know what? Religionists have been trying to put atheists to death for so long that I really don't give a rip if they feel their religion is being mocked. They certainly have never considered my feelings when they get up in their pulpits and condemn me to infinite hell. So scr*w 'em.

(nutball to the core) Is it not insane to believe that you are the highest form of life in universe. Is that not the height of arrogance?-MM

You have falsifiable evidence to the contrary?

Christ rose again after three days to save us all...

Undeadly death. Yeah right. Religion is a parody of itself. You come up with nonsensical things like non-death dying. When religionists get pinned down to explain what the heck you are talking about they simply assert that mere mortals can't understand the workings of the divine. So their explanations are laughable -- have no meaning by their own admission.

You said Christ died -- like that was some huge sacrifice -- but he isn't dead, is he. So what exactly was the sacrifice -- this non-death death.

In an infinite lifespan a billion years has no meaning, three days barely has meaning in a human lifespan. Get real. That was no sacrifice.
