no, it's not you.

rush has made his $100 million and the forces that created him have receded.

rush was valuable in 1990 when alternatives to the left-wing media were few and especially in 1993 when the clingons came to power.

i get tired of his fluff on how he pulled himself up by his bootstraps, a farce. not everyone grows up with a uppermiddle class lawyer family.

Perhaps we all need reminding ken21 that envy is a deadly sin.

Being uppermiddle class here in Cape Girardeau is not considered "rich" by any stretch of your imagination.

Besides, which, Rush left here at eighteen years old in an old car in a snowstorm...without any money. His daddy was very pissed off at him for quiting college.

Stick it in your ear, bubba.

You obviously don't listen much (or you don't hear much.)

Rush IS NOT trying to acome across like Bill O'Reilly - up from a lower-middle class family. Rush has always spoken of his background, and has NEVER claimed to be "deprived".

But Rush also speaks as someone who was a college dropout, and went out on his own. His parents didn't support him. He tried a variety of jobs . . .and he worked his way up. His boot-straps - if any - is the going from a college drop-out to many different jobs (and most he was fired from) ... to doing the Sacramento job where he could really do what he wanted, and how he wanted. He was "discovered" by Roger Ailes ... who got Rush to go National, got Rush to move to New York, got Rush syndicated. Roger felt that the brash and audacious local talk show guy would be very successful... and the rest is, as they say, HISTORY.

So Rush worked for his success, trying to do what he had a passion for. And Rush states that his failures were when he was doing something that others wanted, but he didn't have a passion for.

And I have heard Rush be critical of MANY Republicans who fail to stand up for principle.

Perhaps some of those who claim Rush isn't critical of Republicans and never challenges the "party line" need the hearing aids more than he needs them!!!
