Does Rush talk more about his hearing and football more than what is going on in politics lately, or is it just me? I know Pat Summerall is retiring and Rush wants to be paired up with Madden, but the last few weeks with all that is going on in the madcap world of politics, it seems Rush would rather talk about other things......just wondering.

Mega Rush Ditto Bump! Never miss his show. But who was the guy on this past Thursday (or was it Wednesday). Some guy from Los Angeles. He said Clinton wasn't too bad of a President and I turned it off. No thanks...I'm not listening to that. Boooooooo!!!!!!!!

Rush has been like this for a while. Or at least, other people have been complaining about it for a few years. Some said it was Rush's marriage. Others said it was the move to Florida that mellowed him. Certainly his hearing problems didn't help.

But this just isn't as political an age, compared to, say eight or ten years ago. There's no one prominent on the scene who really polarizes as Clinton or Gingrich did. People are up in arms about al Quaida, but not so much about domestic politics.

At least that's how things look from where I sit. Other people probably see things differently. Maybe polling data can provide a more objective measure of how most Americans feel.

Let's see....it the week of the Superbowl...so that might explain him talking more about football......
And he is a person who went completely deaf during the past year....and now has regained his hearing through a miracle of modern technology...which might explain why he is talking about that...

Please get over it! Rush just happens to love football; and it is, after all, the week of the Super Bowl. Just what do you expect?? Give the guy a break for heaven's sake!

So Rush wants to discuss football. I don't see anything wrong with it. On the contrary, I enjoy it.

Well, I'm not the best judge because I don't listen all the time, but I do turn Rush on whenever I'm in the car and he's on and I know on several occasions this past week I've gotten really irritated because whenever I turned him on he was going on and on about football. I am NOT a football fan and there is way more sports radio than there needs to be in my opinion. I just wanted to tell him "Hey Rush...I don't listen to you for football commentary."

Yes, Rush has strayed from the balustrade, I'm afraid. Perhaps it is just the medications.

Yes he is, but it is because he gets to talk about what he wants to talk about!

Rush has always liked football (they called him Rush the Toe in high school football), and his hearing problem has gotten big play around the country. BTW I played a new rush trivia w/pics and sounds yesterday, trippy, at click here. Anyway, libs want to put down EL Rushbo (a little spanish lingo there) because the election's coming soon. More than likely you're just beginning what's likely to be a snowball of Rush put downs. It aint gonna work....

The last few years there has been less and less humor on Rush's show. He used to have Feminazi, animal rights wack-o, environmentalist wack-o, and Barney Frank homosexual updates daily -- each accompanied by a musical parody. I miss the humor.
