Does Rush talk more about his hearing and football more than what is going on in politics lately, or is it just me? I know Pat Summerall is retiring and Rush wants to be paired up with Madden, but the last few weeks with all that is going on in the madcap world of politics, it seems Rush would rather talk about other things......just wondering.

Actually, lately I've been thinking Rush has been getting better. He seems to have more fire in him.

Rush has 3 hours and I think if he wants to talk a little football, its all right with me. I am sure he gets many questions about his hearing and I do appreciate his updates. I'm so happy that he is doing so well and grateful that he will continue with his radio show.

Gillmeister, as far as I'm concerned, Rush Limbaugh, the
King of Radio, who single-handedly blazed a new and fantabulous
trail into AM broadcasting excellence, raising the bar to reach
for the stars that few can ever hope to touch, can talk
about any lil' ole' thing he wants, especially what he is interested in.
Don't ya know, he is a very modern diversified man.

It's just you. Don't believe it? Go to his web site
HERE and see the variety of subjects that he talked about today (as he does each and every day).
A RUSH RULES!!!!!!! Bump

Rush has been sucking for a long time now. The only time he's worth listening to is when he's fired up, and thats even rarer and rarer nowadays. Most of the time he talks like a typical country club repub.

I started following Rush from the beginning. Over the years, he seemed to slow down towards the middle of the road. Others, like myself, seeing no real improvments with government, passed Rush and continued to the right.

Rush's is an issues-oriented radio program that has one and only one purpose, to make the host look good. Super Bowl week makes football a top issue, he certainly enjoys the sport, and it IS his show. El Rushbo has a gift for making conversation about ANY topic worth listening to. And it sure beats the heck out of Dr. Laura or most other midday radio programs.
Does anyone know which team is projected to win using the environmentalist whacko pick formula? I figure it has to be the Rams, because they are an animal fighting against the Patriots, who are evil, capitalist Americans who do nothing but ravage Mother Earth.

Does Rush talk more about his hearing and football more than what is going on in politics lately, or is it just me? Let's see Rush always talks about what's happening in the here and now. Superbowl is this weekend and Rush has just had his hearing adjusted. Seems right on target to me.

Get a life.
Rush talks about what he wants to talk about. That's the program. If you don't want to hear about what Rush wants to talk about, then don't listen.

I think there's some kind of big game this weekend. I may have to log off and see what's going on.

Remember, he has always said, his was a show about what he liked and wanted to talk about.

A dear friend of ours lost his hearing, I cried a bucket of tears for him. When this dear friend of ours, through wonderful technology, regained his hearing I cried tears of joy for him and for us. I for one love hearing him talk about it. Put yourself in his place or listen to another station. I don't want to sound belittling, but put things into perspective man.

Here are my thoughts on Rush.
I see him with the milk and meat metaphor eyeglasses on. I consider myself very conservative, with a bit of libertarian thrown in for spice. Rush usually does bore me. Mainly because I have moved past the milk he serves up. I am eating the meat from Free Republic and other places.
However, Rush's milk is all that much of the masses can handle. They are not yet ready for the meat that most of us here digest. I think that Rush provides a great service to the conservative cause by delivering the milk he does.
Most of his 20 million, as well as the rest of the country, is not ready for a discussion on Rand, or the constitutionality of public schools, or the nature of the Civil War and its impact on today's society, but ten years ago I wasn't either. But they may be ready for a discussion on football, including a discussion on why we pay these guys more money than school teachers because people are willing to pay to watch them work. They get a small lesson on economics today, and get hungry for meat later. If so, more power to Rush, and someday, more converts for us.
Anyway, that is what I think.

If you will notice, the conference championships and Super Bowl garner tons of attention. Rush is a football fan (Steelers, yick!). ;-)
Therefore, he talks about it. After next week, you won't hear him speak about it much more until the next NFL season begins.
I'm sure Rush, like me, will be going through football withdrawals. Can't wait for spring training!
GO TRIBE!

Have you ever gone deaf and been given so precious a sense back? Rush can talk about whatever he wants for all I care...

Rush has always said that "it is his show" and he will talk about what he wants to talk about. Accept it and live with it. He is still the leading medial exponent of the Conservative cause, even when he talks about football.
