His reports which were 'critical' of the US were written at the time x42 was sending cruise missles at empty tents and bombing aspirin factories in the Sudan. He was RIGHT to be critical, as most of US were at the time!
I posted an editorial from the NY Times written by Terry Anderson this morning called "Pearl's Kidnappers Won't Win", here I don't know how to link to an FR article, so I've done the link to the Times, but I don't know if they'll let you access it if you are not 'subscribed'.
