I have to disagree with you. Look at how Americans acted on 9-11 in New York City, the place where many of these "moral" crimes take place. Look at the chubby middle-aged office workers; probably "sheeple" in many a conservative's estimation who gave their lives to save others.
Granted, I agree that freedom does seem a bit strained at times while suffering under the Nanny State. (Though I'm too young to know first hand). But the spirit of American People is pretty indominatable. After 9-11, people sent clothes, food, even their own blood. Hell, even Rosie O'Donnell donated $2 million of her own money for the 9-11 victims.
Very few people are going to be pious holy rollers. They'll take the easy way out in many a moral judgement. Good people have to set them on the right path. But many have been saying, "This generation is not as moral as the last." for hundreds of years.
Americans as a bunch are pretty good people. Even today.

I wonder if what students at Morristown High will think during the field trip to
Washington's Headquarters? Will they know the man existed?

The public schools are at war with American children and families, and with American history and values.
This is not news. American-style socialism is on the march!

Unfortunately they already know him--the old white man who owned slaves. That's what many of the revisionist textbood writers and teachers teach, and Columbus--the white man who killed the Indians. Many teachers and textbooks fail to mention that the Indians died from the flu and other viral diseases which can't be blamed on anyone. I wonder how many students from Newark and Paterson went there on field trips?

What saddens me more is that this edict came down from a republican governor with a republican legislature. RINOs are ruining the party, I wish they would just be done with it and switch political parties.

It might be a good question to ask if the government schools should be abolished The marxist control of education HAS been abolished in the little part of the world that our family encompasses.
It's worth all the sacrifices & work .. our daughters are beautiful, wonderful examples of intelligence, curiosity, and initiative.
One small revolution that's already succeeded !
