Yeah no thanks to the RINOs who stiffed him and left him to hang and dry and their just reward for their betrayal was the loss of their majorities in the New Jersey State Legislature. What a beautiful sight that was...

Schundler creamed Franks. Conservatives cannot win general elections unless they are first their party's nominee young Skywalker.

PUKE! Now Freepers are congratulating you for being an early Simon fan. Hey, I liked Jones and Simon both early on so that should say somethin (still cannot believe Jones called for removing the pro-life plank from the party in the debate). He jumps up and down about having the Mexican American Political Action committee endorsement but then runs away from being pro-life. Unreal.

Does anyone know how to get in touch with the Simon campaign? He really seems to be gaining ground, and his commercials are looking good. I want to see what I can do to help him. he seems like a true blue conservative.

Well I guess Canavan's point is that RINO Riordan's friends are gonna try and pull the same on Simon when he wins the primary!

Yeah those "big tent" proponents never seem to find one big enough to cover conservatives.

isn't it a bit smarter to get half our agenda than none at all?

You haven't been reading closely. With Riordan you don't even get half. You get NONE. This guy is not even what you know as one of those moderate Republicans who make us sick -- he's worse.

Richard Riordan is more liberal than Davis on every issue that matters. So what's the point?

"I understand the desire to stay ideologically pure. "

Who's talking ideological purity, Canavan? All we want is someone who is not more liberal than Gray Davis - and Dick Riordan is WAAAAAAY more liberal than Davis.

Oh I expect they'll do just that and when Bill Simon is defeated in November they'll exclaim: "You blew it cause conservatives can NEVER win in a liberal coastal state. You could have gone with the winner but you had an important air ideological purity was more important and blah blah blah." One thing the DIABLAs will NEVER do is acknowledge they don't want ANY conservative to win and thus escape culpability for being insufficiently devoted to the Republican cause --- which they are. Don't get me wrong, I'm all for Simon and I think he has a decent chance of winning in November but I thought its a good idea to let y'all know where the Benedict Arnold/Jihad Johnnies inside our party are coming from so we won't be blindsided like we were in New Jersey.

Yep... and you have no doubt noticed the so-called "centrist" Dickie Pooh's idea of a "big tent" doesn't explicitly include a welcome wat out for us conservatives to come on in and feel right at home during the primary campaign. Liberals talk about "inclusiveness" but its as phony as every thing else they preach about. Dickie Pooh wants a Republican Party without conservatives a part of it and if God forbid he wins the March primary, we'll be more than happy to oblige him in the fall --- without our volunteer efforts and votes on his behalf. As a matter of fact his fall from grace has already begun and I can't wait to see him hit rock bottom soon.

These are your priorities...

Shrinking government Riordan worse

Cutting spending Davis worse - since he is capitulating now for Democratic support

Slashing entitlements Davis worse

Keeping the 2nd amendment intact and derailing gun grabbers. Davis and Riordan equally bad.

So best I can tell, if Riordan wins the primary you are gonna have one helluva choice between the two. Have you ever voted Liberterian or Reform?

And is it better to advance that cause incrementally or to die on your sword?

In this case is it better to throw your cause into reverse? That's how bad this guy is.

You want to reduce the size of government and slash entitlements? Well Riordan has said that health care is a God-given right that everyone should have legal or illegal? That sounds worse than Hillary Clinton.

You are concerned about guns? The NRA has given Riordan an "F". He said that guns should only be in the hands of police. Riordan has proposed door-to-door sweeps to collect handguns.

Are you starting to understand this guy? Do you see that the R next to his name means nothing?

Doesn't it scare you that Riordan is WORSE than Davis on all four of your issues?
