Hm. Seems to me we've been electing our representatives right along. What have you seen?
...but then they let everyone vote regardless of qualifications.
So you think we should...what? Bring back the poll tax? Only allow white landowners with more than $1 million net worth to vote? What?
Then they had Senators directly elected and decided they could ignore the Constituition.
Again, not sure where you're getting this. They AMENDED the Constitution to change the way the Senators were elected. Not sure where you get "ignore the Constitution" from that, since a) the Constitution specifically allows itself to be amended, giving certain criteria for accomplishing it, and 2) the correct procedure was followed.
Yes, I am well aware that you kneeejerks love to pontificate about how "the Constitution isn't being followed" but then I notice you set yourselves up as the sole arbiters of what is and what is not Constitutional--even though the Constitution gives the Judiciary the right to do that and, so far as I can determine, that is the procedure we've been following since Marbury.
Note that I am not saying that I myself always agree with them, but so long as they do things legally, you have no case (pun intended).
You social conservatives are just big government liberals of a diffrent king in my opinion.
Amazing how you seem to know so much about me--(NOT).
