I'll abstain from voting before I give my vote to Dole. I dont care who wins because voting Republican has still led us further down the path of socialism.

Vapid foolishness. Because you believe you can't stop a thing you see no virtue in slowing it down? This isn't death here (kill me quickly, rather than allow me to suffer a slow and agonizing demise)--this is LIFE. I submit your's is the position of the defeatest coward afraid of ongoing debate about the direction of America.

Persons like you are the very reason you don't have what you desire. You are self-defeating.

Why do you bother coming to FR at all? To whine? Looking for a pity party? Perhaps what you really want is over at the Democratic Undergound as you're so hell bent on helping them get elected by doing nothing at the ballot box to prevent it.

ROFL, nice name calling and slandering. We should give you the purple violin.

People have votes to do with as they please. Political parties don't have them, and they are owed no votes.

They have to put forward a superior product, market it and convince people to come and support it. When they fail, and the customers wind up shopping somewhere else there are inevitably a few whiners who waggle their finger at either the patrons themselves or at the competition for existing in the first place.

When, truth be told, if these guy's want to throw dirty looks anywhere they should be throwing them in the mirror for asking people to support an inferior product in the first place.

By not voting I do not give the system, or in this case the awful candidate credibility. I do not participate in trying to distinquish Dole, or most Republicans, from Democrats. It is a pointless endeavor that is not worth my time. I accept that they both have different means of accomplishing the same goal, my subjugtion.

I submit your's is the position of the defeatest coward afraid of ongoing debate about the direction of America.

Thats a bit strong, and rude. I actually would say it is more cowardly to abandon principles for convenience. The guys who fought the wars for independance in this country tended to be most principled. They fought because they would not abandon principle for the convenience of getting along, not upsetting the neighbors, or an otherwise easy life. In fact, since you mention death, it is good to remember the words of the great patriot Patrick Henry. I would not call these fighters and defenders of freedom cowards, would you?

I think you entirely miss my point, or are just mad that I'm right. I'm saying that both major parties exist to promote their own power which they acquire necessarily by taking power from us citizens. Voting for the system ensures it sticks around. Not voting for it takes away legitimacy and makes it clear to everyone the reality that we are ruled by the elite no matter how we vote. It is only by abandoning the two parties that we will ever see freedom in this country again. Or do you think that after the Republicans have helped slide us to complete communism that they will suddenly suprise us all with their conservative comeback?

Why do you bother coming to FR at all? To whine? Looking for a pity party?

Nope, I'm looking for civil debate where I might learn something. Apparently, not everyone shares my interest. What a shame.

Why do you think voting for a socialist liberal republican is going to slow anything down?

If the republicans cannot find a suitable conservative candidate , I too say go third party. It make no difference if we get a democrat social liberal or another republican social liberal like Jaffords. Your just wasting your vote.
