USO Canteen Freeper Style
War has come to our shores. It was committed on American soil. We have been able to live in Freedom only because of those who have fought in the past wars giving life, limb and all the sacrifices for us to live in Freedom and go about our day without fear.
On September 11, 2001, that comfort, that feeling of living in a land that would not be attacked ended.
William T. Sherman said it succinctly, "War is hell."
The day has come for this Nation and its people to understand that there is a risk in losing its freedom, and in reality there always has been. We have ONLY stayed free because of the sacrifices of our military, our warriors.
This is about saving the future of America. Aristotle said, "We make war that we may live in peace."
We are seeing the American Flag flying at homes now more than ever in my lifetime. We are seeing the American Flag flying on vehicles and people wearing Flag pins and small Flags on their clothes. America is united in the cause for Freedom and for our country to WIN against the evil that came upon our land to kill and hurt us. To change our way of life and to destroy America which is US, you and me. To take away our precious Freedom.
This is the Freeper version of the USO Canteen. Where soldiers could come and feel a small part of being at home. It is a place where you that have family in the military can post a thought to a loved one that might be able to read it far away from home. A place where we that support our military can help support them, post to them, fun graphics showing the price in America and our troops. Poems, quotes, cartoons, or articles of how America is behind our troops.
Those in our military are our Nation's warriors. Let us join hands, fly our Flag and let the world know how important our warriors are to us....And that our MILITARY, our Warriors, are America's TRUE HEROS!
"No Marine was ever honored for what they received. Honor was the reward for what they gave." (Anonymous) CHIEF gave his all in many ways. He touched our lives and his friendship meant so much to all of us. He will live in our hearts forever, and his friendship will always be a bright and shining memory in our hearts and souls.

What a day I had! I woke up this morning convinced I had walking pneumonia because I had had it before and I have been talking to Snow Bunny this week. So, I went to the doc, which I seldom do, but I do want to be able to go to CPAC next week. No pneumonia, just bronchitis, ear infection and sinusitis. After a shot and some meds, I felt well enough to meet friends for lunch, and worked on my liberal friend who had marched on DC back in the 70's as a flower child.
Then when I got home, I attempted to change my son's Christmas gift cell phone plan from pre-paid to a regular plan because he told me he does have good reception at his new base. I told the agent that I didn't care how many minutes he got now that he had made it from Atlanta to his destination. LOL! He is going into something special, and I worry about him on the interstate. Do mothers ever get a grip?

Well, it's been quite a week. I took the big leap into my personal plan to be a business consultant. I have been working on this for a couple of years in my spare time, and approached my first customer on Tuesday. They accepted with gusto. We hit it off perfectly.
I didn't go in empty handed then try to convince them that I knew what I was doing, oh no. I actually studied their company fairly well, then did a few days work on a business approach, and presented (only) the initial proposal. They were pleasantly surprised, and I had an immediate audience with the top (money controlling) manager.
I meet with them on February 4th, they are as excited as I am, at least they were very insistent on having me in ASAP.
This will be a background career until this starts to hopefully overtake my current career. So all this week, I have been effectively working 2 jobs. I have been wanting to do this for a few years, and I hope this has wings.

Canteen Joke of The Day:
--------------
Three friends die in a car accident. They go to heaven to an orientation. They are all asked, When you are in your casket and your friends and family are mourning upon you, what would you like to hear them say about you?
The first guy says, I would like to hear them say that I was the greatest doctor of my time, and a great family man.
The second guy says, I would like to hear them say that I was a wonderful husband and a school teacher, which made a huge difference in our children of tomorrow.
The last guy replies, I would like to hear them say, LOOK, HES MOVING! HES ALIVE!

How about one more framed pic of JimRob? Tonk, you can try to be humble, but I think your championship of our military folk deserves a framed pic. :-)

Hi There, 4tF!! Great to see you this evening. I've been doing intense PT this weekend, and it has knocked me on my tush! I noticed you are expecting single digit temps around the middle of next week, too. We have been promised 71 degrees for tomorrow, then a slide back into winter. I noticed the Cuddle Duds were on sale last week at Younkers,, nobody's needed them YET! There will be a stampeed at Younkers next Wednesday. Will your cowboys & gals be headed home before those temps swoop in?

You are such a great mom. I don't think it is possible to truly love anyone and not worry or be concerned about them.Sometimes when away from home, that love is felt even stronger when times are not so easy to go through, like feeling a parents love wrapped around your heart. That is what your son will always feel and it is wonderful.
I am so glad you do not have pneumonia. But bronchitius is very serious too so be sure to rest a lot and lots of water.I am drinking over 2 quarts a day to make sure all these pills do not hang around too long inside of me.
When you go to CPAC I would love to hear about it too.

"How about one more framed pic of JimRob?"
I still say put Jim in the pic behind Billie.
I am proud of what I do, but really do not feel comfortable being in the pic,
when I am just one of so MANY that do so much here. OK?
Snow Bunny, Billie and Jim ARE the reason why the rest of us are here.
And well Beamer just belongs there! LOL
To: 4TheFlag
..I'm mischevious again..Great, I come forewarned and completely armed, (with humour).
Beamer looked pretty shiney tonight even after all that chlorine.
