Samuel F. Vale is chairman and founder of the Border Trade Alliance. He is the president and co-owner of the Starr-Camargo Bridge Company International, a toll bridge and port of entry, where his duties include transportation logistics for clients of the company. Employed with the company since 1975, he has held various positions, including assistant manager, manager and general manager. Vale is also president and co-owner of the Border Pacific Railroad Company, a railroad between Mission and Rio Grande City, Texas, that is an international trading division and trans- shipping service. Vale is also president and 95-percent owner of Isthmus Customhouse Brokers, Inc., which performs logistics services; president and co-owner of Quina Corporation, a real estate and ranching company; and president and co-owner of Sunbelt Multimedia Co., d.b.a. KTLM-TV 40, a Telemundo Network. Vale is president of the Starr County Industrial Foundation, Inc., Starr County Historical Foundation Commission and Starr County Industrial Commission. He is very involved in civic organizations and is a member of various business organizations, including the American Chamber of Commerce of Mexico, A.C., Rio Grande Valley Partnership, Better Business Bureau of South Texas, Inc., and the Association of American Railroads. Vale received his Bachelor of Arts degree from The University of Texas at Austin in 1965.
