Not my experience at all. The first time I quit I went three months with not one craving, no big deal. After then every attempt has been more and more difficult. So far I'm at a little over a month. The nagging twitch is still there (which tells you something since nicotine is out of your body completely in about 72 hours) but I just keep giving it the finger.

True, individual experiences vary. I was just quoting generalities. I was a light smoker in my early 20's & quitting was hard--it took a few attempts, but I succeeded. I quit drinking coffee last year too - now that was tough!

Good luck with staying off the evil weed. One day at a time...

My grandfather quit on a bet, after smoking for 20 years. Up until the day he left this earth, he would have dreams about smoking. He was an alcoholic and quit that too, but never had the desire to return to the bottle as much as he did the pack.
