Pro-Communist, anti-gun AARP may condemn the old guy for not being a victim and revoke his membership.

I'll bet Mayor Daley read that article and thought to himself ... 'IF there were no guns in the world, there would be no armed robberies!

On a darker side, if it happened to me, I'm sure Mayor Daley's Patrol would be waiting for me upon my return to make sure they confiscated all my guns ...... To Hell With the Constitution

"He said officers discovered Hamilton dead with a single gunshot wound..."

Good shot.

'Tis a good thing that Mr. Davis doesn't live in England.

"Sidwell said detectives will forward reports to the district attorney's office, although no charges are expected to be filed."

A glimmer of hope radiates from my state capitol.

We have a family friend when I was a kid that worked at the corner convenience store. "Pops" Kindly older man. He always said he "didn't need the work, he just needed to work".

Anyway, he was robbed several times at gunpoint. He just gave them the money with a smile. He said he could "tell they didn't wanted to hurt him". But he kept a loaded 38 by the cash register. Well, one night someone came in to rob him and he said he could see that he was going to get shot. Just by looking at the mans eyes.

The robber had his gun on the counter pointed at our friend, but he didn't pay close attention when our friend opened up the big old cash register. The drawer was big enough to block the gun. "Pops" pulled his 38, the robber fired and the bullet was blocked by the register. "Pops" shot the man between the eyes.

The police showed up. And gave "Pops" new bullets.

TO posted, "There should be medals presented to senior citizens who get rid of garbage."

Yep, his social security should be tripled and his pension tripled. That would be enough incentitive to eliminate a lot of 911 calls!

Thanks for posting this thread. Just another good ending proving that Dr John Lott's Book, "More Guns, Less Crime!" is so correct.

If you need anything more than a 9 mm just to answer the door, you might consider moving to a different part of town.

Lt. John Sidwell identified the victim today as Anthony D. Hamilton, of Topeka.

You mean the perp, don't you?

I believe that the description of the human dregs in these stories should include their criminal records (which are almost uniformly lengthy) and an inventory of the items on their persons. I charge the news media to tell the whole story! After all, that's their job!

It is so important (IMHO) that the public understand what kind of threat has been permanently removed from the community. No "out on bail", no "out on parole", no "three strikes and you're out". All that kind of crap simply means "he hasn't got round to you yet" or "Gee, sorry about those last two victims that shouldn't have been victims".
