I understood perfectly. What if Britain had "let the Colonies go" peacefully. There was still the frontier.
I am not talking about the sodding revolution I am trying to get people to think sideways or laterally.
I know most here are civvies and very few of you have ever worked in Intelligence but sideways think is as natural as ordinary thinking, well it is to me.

The gist of my argument is, that any government faced with a NEW threat , a NEW threat , I will say it once more a , a NEW threat. Will react by trying to eliminate that threat hence the Gun Ban.
There is nothing new under the sun. Government repression DOES need an excuse in "civilized" society.
The only good thing is that all this debating with American freepers is giving me great experience for when I have to argue with my own children when they are teenagers.
Having to make the same point over and over again, dealing with stubborn people who disagree with you but when you are not explaining what you believe in, but instead are relating facts as to how a situation came about. Trying to get them to understand another point of view outside there own box

Well when America rules the world we can have guns for all.
Although I guess the same gun ownership rights might not apply in the provinces.
