JAKARTA, (FIDES/CWNews.com) - Catholic and Protestant residents of the predominantly Christian Rutong village in Ambon, Indonesia, had to cancel their worship services last Sunday, January 13, when their village was attacked by unidentified gunmen.
Children and old people had to be quickly evacuated to neighboring safer villages as their houses suddenly came under attack. Rutong residents defended themselves with the help of police officials. One attacker was shot and killed, and four others were injured. Two natives of Rutong were also seriously injured.
Ambon, the capital of the Moluccas province, has been the scene of frequent attacks by Islamic militants on the local Christian population. Police said that this latest incident was the work of the Laskar Jihad group, which has called for the destruction of Christian communities in Ambon.
Screw 'em. From now on, they should be known as "targets".
Laskar Jihad is a bin Laden/al-Qa'eda front organization.
Attacking and extirpating this organization and annihilating its members will not only bring peace to Indonesia, but will advance the War on Terror as well.
Let's do it.
