"After she left, Mark Davis remarked he thought that comment would ruin her in this election - and I hope so!"I hope so too!
To: Redbob
No, Mzzzz Miller, you have too many criminals in Dallas. Deal with that first. Until then and even afterwards, keep the honest citizenry armed and well stocked.

I assume she's a Democrat. What's her background? Has she held elective office in Texas before?
To: Redbob
She's a goner, good riddance. She's also made some stupid remarks about veterans events.

Uh oh! You had better not tell texans that they have "too much" or "too big of a..." anything!

Just one more reason to thank God that I now live in Tarrant County.

Listening to the program. After the candidates left Davis asked for callers and what their views were. Several called to say that they are NO LONGER Miller supporters due to her statement on guns and gun shows. These callers WILL be voting for another candidate.

I hear her say it too. My thought was: "Fergit getting elected in Dallas, lady". I also hear Gonzales(?) say that he has a concealed carry permit.

Mark Davis is also a bafoon. He is wrong on many many issues, especially his support for sending Elian Gonzales to the Communist Gulag.

Unfortunately, Miller's main opponent would probably make a worse mayor. I"m not too keen on her, but I do think that won't rake taxpayers over the coals for "special projects" (i.e., boondoggles) like the current mayor has done.
This election will kind of be like choosing between a beating and a whupping.
To: Redbob
She even went so far as to say she thought there are "two many guns." !! I reckon Dallas has too many women working in city government.

That s**t only plays well in Austin! Anywhere else in Texas it's a no-go! She's history!!
To: Redbob
Lord help Dallas if her campaign doesn't go down in flames! Such statements ought to be political suicide in Dallas, or has Dallas changed that much? Say it isn't so!
Yep, no doubt those rows upon rows of rusty Winchesters in calibers .25-20 and .38-40 and .40-82 are slipping out of Market Hall via the "gun show loophole" and are supplying the terrorist networks, gang-bangers, drug dealers, etc. There oughta be a law agin it. [/sarcasm]

"No Gunshows on Dallas City Property, We Have Too Many Guns" - Laura Miller How come this woman isn't running for mayor of Boston instead of mayor of Dallas?
And anyway, there's no such thing as too many guns.
To: Redbob
Look for a damage control statement soon.
"I was misquoted."
"That's not what I meant."
"It depends on what the definition of 'gun', 'gunshow', or 'city property' is."
"I support the rights of all legitimate sportspersons."
etc.

Houston tried the same thing a few years back with the George R. Brown Convention center. No gun shows were allowed. Gun show promoter took them to court and got the rule thrown out. Court said that the city had no authority to ban gun shows.
To: Redbob
umm shouldn't that be 'too many guns'?
To: Redbob
Tom Dunning is a Liberal Democrat Laura Miller is a fiscal conservative. Get over it.
