Caddell said that alone doesn't prove that
Danforth consciously covered up wrongdoing, "but does it mean that he dug as deeply as he could have?"
Guys, If it had been ANY one of US, you can bet your sweet bippy that we would have been "in the dock" a LONG time ago. AND, No one will YET mention the totally unjustifiable BATF raid that was the ultimate cause of the ending conflagration. AND, the Secretary of the Treasury, Lloyd Bentsen, whose HOME STATE was Texas, and who HEADED the BATF will NEVER be held accountable in this lifetime. But, perhaps in the next. Peace and love, George.

FYI - as relates to ENRON and their "outside" accounting firm.
Wall Street Journal, January 16, 2002, page A9 - FULL PAGE "Open Letter from Joe Berardino, Managing Partner and CEO, Anderson" ... beginning paragraph 5 -
"We issued new, interim record retention policies and asked former Senator John Danforth to lead an independent review of our policies and to make recommendations for additional change and disciplinary action."
When you take the CPA exam, especially the Theory section, the proctor, to ease the pressure, often starts with a joke. You are asked "How much is 2 + 2?" The answer (now widely accepted as a fact and not a joke - as shown in pro formas, ... , massive notes in Annual reports, 10-Q's, ... and GAAP's "not a qualified" statement ... ) is ... ANYTHING YOU WANT IT TO BE.
Simply multiple by zero and add the answer - that is, "back into the number" you need.
Greed, indeed, must be good - as a sin it comes unpunished!

Caddell said that alone doesn't prove that Danforth consciously covered up wrongdoing, "but does it mean that he dug as deeply as he could have?" Try making that distinction the next time the IRS accuses you of failing to report part of your income.

I heard film-maker Michael McNulty say on the radio a year or so ago that Danforth used to golf regularly with Clinton at some golf course in Maryland. I wonder what they used to talk about.

Secretary of the Treasury, Lloyd Bentsen, whose HOME STATE was Texas, and who HEADED the BATF will NEVER be held accountable in this lifetime. The raid took place under Bush Sr's administration, but it's true Bentsen was there after the election, heading up Treasury in the months of coverup afterward.

The First raid took place in February 1993. The second raid took place April 19, 1993. Both under His Slickness's reign. In between was unbelieveable dehumanization of the people inside, complete w/ psyops going on.
Sorry, I don't buy all this that it was Bush's fault.

Danforth was a Waco insider - his first law practice was here. He knew the players behind the scenes who brought the feds' attention to the Branch Davidians. He had buds to look after. Let's not forget the two (at least) who died during his investigation just to make sure the reinactment at Fort Hood didn't bring the truth to light.

"Appointed by President Bush to be special envoy to Sudan in September, Danforth also was recently asked by troubled Enron auditor Arthur Andersen, LLP "to conduct an immediate and comprehensive review of Andersen's records management policy and to recommend improvements," the Associated Press reported last week."
Let's see --- Danforth covered for the FBI in the Waco crimes. Andersen is Auditing the FBI. Andersen covered for the Enron players. Ashcroft and Danforth are buds. Danforth appointed by Bush as Special Envoy to Sudan. Andersen asks Danforth to review THEIR record management policies. Bush will need a new VP candidate next election.
Looks like a Perfect Circle to me.

One source familiar with the events said the renewed interest in Danforth's conclusions could be related to reforming an FBI hurt by years of scandals. I don't feel very good putting my faith in McLameBrain to seek the truth. The only chance is if it makes McCain look good and the administration look bad.

The planning for the WACO raid was done before Clinton took office and that was the Bush 1 admin.
