Will George W. Bush allow this to happen to his home state? If so, he is asleep at the wheel.

Look, just think of Kyoto as a way to prevent Texas of stinking up the atmosphere.

I don't know what you're worried about. You have electricity "deregulation" and a Republican Governor to protect you from the evil environmentalists...What could happen?

Weren't all of these commisioners appointed by Bush and Perry? Also they are going to have to get the money from the legislature and I have a feeling that they would not get it.

California and Oregon are conspiring to implement portions of the Kyoto Treaty as well - the portions that take money from Americans and send it to third world countries.

California's Gov. Davis has contracted to pay a premium price for electricity from the Klamath Cogeneration Project, which is participating in the World Bank's "Prototype Carbon Fund" set up under the Kyoto Protocol.

Read more about this scam here. (I can't seem to find the thread on FR. It had "Scottishpower" in the title, I think.)

The Sky Is Falling-The Sky Is Falling

There is a link to the document. Before anyone gets upset, they should at least read the Executive Summary and the Executive Director's Recommendations.

There is no scientific or political consensus on CO2 as a greenhouse gas and global warming. On the other hand, there is no disagreement on the need to reduce emissions of methane, NO2, SO2, CFC, VOC, soot particulate, etc, etc.

Please call the TNRCC Commissioners and the Governor's office and voice your opposition to implementation of Kyoto without ratification by the Senate and PLEASE, Please let us know what they tell you by emailing me e-mail me at .

This can't be true, could only happen in California. Oh well, last
summer you were warned that you were next, so I won't
bother being too sympathetic, since it is now your ox being
gore'd(pun intended).

Texans need to shed themselves of Sheila Jackson Lee. Ms. Lee is a big advocate of Kyoto...money for the United Nations, Africa and herself.

I'll go over to Austin for this, do a news story and lend my support to CSE, FR and all my fellow freedom loving Texans while I'm at it.
