California ProLife Endorses Simon for Governor

SACRAMENTO - The California affiliate of National Right to Life, the California ProLife Council, announced today that its Political Action Committee has endorsed Bill Simon for Governor.

“We are pleased to endorse Bill Simon,” said Brian Johnston, Executive Director of the California ProLife Council (CPLC). “He is committed to renewing a culture of life in California; he believes in restoring legal protection for innocent life and affirming the involvement of caring parents should their minor daughter face a problem pregnancy. Bill Simon will make an excellent governor.”

California’s current governor, Gray Davis, is opposed to any limitation on abortion regardless of the age of the child, or the reasons offered for getting the abortion. Davis and Richard Riordan, Simon’s primary opponent, also support the state government’s funding of the abortion industry, which under current law is without fiscal limit.

"Bill Simon wants the government out of the abortion industry, as do most Californians when they understand the unlimited largesse that is showered on this dark and shadowy business,” said Johnston.

The California ProLife Council is the largest pro-life organization in the state. In addition to its lobbying activities, it has state and federal political action committees, and an educational arm involved in promoting the basic facts about human growth and development.

I hope I did this right! This is the first time I've ever posted anything to FR!

A friend of mine who gets this pro-life newsletter every morning sent this to me because she knew that I liked Bill Simon. She was SO impressed (she thinks that I'm a political dummy) that I was right on about a candidate!

This is just so wonderful. It affirms everything that I thought already. Just wanted to pass it on to all of you.

Simon deserves to govern a better state, but I will do what I can to get him elected.

Defeat ALL democrats. They control CA. Even with "Governor" Simon, CA will be governed by democrats unless we defeat them!

Riordan is going to win. That's my prediction.

If he wins the GOP nomination, I will be happy to help re-elect Red Davis for another term.

I'd rather have a Marxist Democrat than a Republican without principles.

GO BILL SIMON GO!

I am just saying what I think will happen.

If CA has a GOP Governor, CA might be in play for Bush in 2004.

"If CA has a GOP Governor, CA might be in play for Bush in 2004."

Sorry, but Rirodan endorses Democrats not Republicans. Riordan would be a disaster for Bush.

not if that so-called GOP governor endorses Bush's opponent.

Riordan endorsed Democrat Diane Feinstein in 94 and 98 and he refused to endorse Dole and called Bill CLinton the greatest president ever. You decide. I say it's better than 50-50 that Riordan would endorse AGAINST Bush.
