I have a friend who had it done 3 weeks ago and has been in such constant pain with complications and continuous dry heaves that even people who don't like him feel sorry for him. But he is losing 20 pounds a week

Wondering is he taking Codine for the pain .. that was my problem of not being able to keep food down

No, the junction of the small intestine and the stomach scarred as it healed, and shut off. Even saliva came back up.

In the office, without anesthesia, they stuck an endoscope down his throat and scraped away the scar tissue. They can do that cause you can't scream with that tube in your throat.

Now he is just in a lot of pain

You must be alergic to codeine

Hey Mo, Seeeeee ? Grits - the miracle food. It's good for what ails ya. :) I can sympathize with your Codeine problems. I had the same problems with it, hate that stuff.

BTW, it's 65* here today, it's sunny and bright and the humidity is very low. I just finished having lunch out on the porch. Of course, I had to wear a lightweight sweater since the porch is kinda shady. :) LOL. I'm telling ya, Mo, you ought to come on down here. It's great.
