The FBI considers Irvine one of the nation's safest cities, a master-planned community where nagging issues range from lawn maintenance to the early morning howl of leaf blowers.

Moderators: I hope that I've properly grasped the nettle.

Look at the tortured language in "anti-gun-control lobbies." All to layer on more and more laws and impediments to legal commerce.

Poor Kalifornistanians.

The conspiracy of ignorance masquerades as common sense.

"It's simply an effort to provide us with a slightly greater degree of local control and confidence about gun sales,"

"Control", that says it all.

"The 2nd Amendment only applies to the regulation of a state militia," he said. "Since that isn't impinged upon by regulating the location of gun dealers, you don't have a basis for raising the 2nd Amendment as an issue."

Someone hasn't been keeping up with recent 9th Circuit Court decisions.

Poor Kalifornistanians

As a resident of "conservative" Orange County, I can tell you that Irvine has long flirted with socialistic tendencies. Maybe it has to do with the proximity of the University of California campus, I don't know... But during the 80's, they issued all kinds of anti-Reagan resolutions, had Nicaraguan sister cities, etc., etc. Meanwhile, the town is the stereotype of the planned, efficient, strip-mall blighted burb. I guess for some reason that the guilty affluent are attracted to it, because it's certainly not home to social outcasts or the economically disaffected.

Felons are prohibited from owning guns.

So the law-abiding citizen is degraded to the status of felons?

This tendency to penalize those who have not broken the law in favor of those who have seems to be a hallmark of liberals.

I will say that it is the objective of Sarah Brady and her spawn to make felons of all of us in order to disbar us of our Second Amendment Rights....legally. Remember that even so 'reasonable' a group as the National Reasonable-regulation Association advocates disbarring a felon of his right that "shall not be infringed." If we can't trust a felon with a gun then he needs to be incarcerated still!

The conspiracy of ignorance masquerades as common sense.
