Freepers, I want to talk to you all about the staute. I agree with you all that to depict the staute with mullti-racial characters is wrong and politically correct. I, however, have something to tell you all that you will not like.
So, now I have to muck around and find out what the demographics of the dead are? Anybody know?

It's long overdue for New York to get it right - first they decided the Indians were not really historically significant so it was OK to plunder their graves. Now they are deciding that the white men in a picture of a recent event are no more historically significant than were those Indians.
What you are facing is just more of the same nonsense New York has always ladled out. It is time for them to change. Hold them to account. There was no multi-culturalism about that picture - just some real human beings raising a flag. It must be portrayed the way it happened, with full respect for the human beings involved, or it's just another thing like the miles of ballast under the old New York Central.
The best way to know that we/you are winning a war that those on the far left and their mirror images on the right don't want us to win is this tactic. Where they tell us that we can't win!
