The Bush administration will be saved by the apparent observation that they never did anything for Enron despite the entreaties of Enron executives. Also, almost everyone of importance on the Democratic side has also taken money from Enron.

This story is old. All the same rumour and inuendo - most of which has been refuted. The press are a bunch of whores. One person says something, then they all say it. Reporting anyone? NOT!

It is becoming apparent that the George W. Bush's administration is sometimes brilliant, on occasion dumb, but almost always honest!
That must be the "new tone" GWB talks about bringing to Washington! Honesty! Who would have thunk it?

There's a poll at tuscaloosanews.com. I am not registered to post yet, (should have done it before, and have had to change my e-mail address.) It's an Enron/Bush poll, and needs serious freeping. The poll is on the right side of the opening page.

They'll only be saved from Conflict of Interest violations. They could still get blamed for a bunch of other aspects. Like what? Letting a bunch of idiot shareholders (most of whom could be assumed to be rich Republicans) lose bundles of money by NOT rescuing the company?
Or "alerting" the markets, and driving the stock down further more quickly?
And what would have happened had they intervened? The howls from the left would be even louder.

It was 50/50 when I voted. Can someone post a thread on it?
Also, I cannot believe this, the Tuscaloosa News has a FULL PAGE editorial today by none other than ----- CLINTON!!!! Oh well, it'll make a great fire starter.

The title would make for great wanker material if it was posted on that Democrat Underground web page.

The American people don't like being LIED to. They hated it when Clinton did it (as they should have), and they will NOT stand for it when Bush does it. The American people gave Clinton a 70% approval rating for lying to them, over and over. That's not exactly "hating" being lied to.
Bush made a mistake; even the press is not making a big deal of this.
Lay served on a Richards' commission in 1994.
