Please tell me I'm crazy, but I keep wondering if we are not going to see a possible Lieberman/McCain ticket for 2004. Am I surrounded by too much tin-foil, or what?

You're not alone, I had the same thought last week when I saw them on MTP. And when I saw them in Afghanistan, I thought they looked like they were campaigning.

Maybe. One thing that makes it a little more possible IMO is LIEberman saying on "Fake the Nation" that some of the Enron troubles happened during the reign/rain of the Klintons. Methinks LIEberman is trying to play to the middle and distance himself from the Arkansas Hilbillies (Heck, what sane person wouldn't do that?).

I was just thinking the same thing - but who will get the Presidential spot?? Both have huge egos - I can't see either one of them taking a back seat to the other.

Can you imagine having two more waffly, shifty, floppy back and forth people in office - I shudder at the thought.

What ever happened to real men! Oh, they're already in office - WHEW!

That is exactly what I was thinking earlier today. McCain knows that conservatives aren't going to vote for him, so he can't challenge Bush for the Republican nomination. Here's my prediction: Lieberman is going to hang Daschle/H.R. Clinton/Kerry out to dry as too liberal, McCain is going to try to make Bush look "too conservative"--then we'll have the "centrist" Lieberman-McCain ticket. We'll just have to remind the military that neither one of these guys gave a rip about their votes the last time.

I have been saying for a couple of months now that I think the gound work is being layed. Think about it, a Democract and a Repubilcan(?) running together on the same ticket, a 'sign of unity' will be the cry. This is dangerous.
