Look at the list of clinton crimes, alone, that are being swept under the rug.

Uh, no. It is not being swept under the rug.

What ya do is put newspapers on top of the crap, so as not to get it on your shoes. What ya do is cover it up.

He will not be POTUS forever and I highly suggest people stop cheering giving him more power as you are giving as much to every sitting POTUS here after.

Never mind who might come later.

I am worried about what GW is doing now.

Teddy Kennedy bragged about what a great guy President Bush is and how they can work togeather. I just watched the speech.

What has to happen to wake US up?

Care to cite an example, or use a wild imagination to justify an argument?

No, I don't think it would do any good if you haven't read the News or even the threads here on FR.

Didn't you read about the old man that was killed in a no-knock drug raid on the wrong house? A little boy that was shot in his back and killed while he was laying on the floor? Seems like he was 12.

I don't have a life. OK.

But I read and think about everything I read and we are fast becoming socialist.

It's no wonder you support Ashcroft - you assume very much from very little (your dime-store psycho-analysis of my motivations). In the case of Ashcroft, is it because he is (ostensibly) a Republican, that you are blind to the fact that, more than anything else, this administration is committed to maintaining the status quo 'empire of the elite'?
No prosecution of anyone connected with the previous administration,
new financial scandals (complete with missing/shredded documents...wow, it's like deja vu all over again)
an escalation of un-Constitutional drug raids,
new 'powers' directly contrary to the Bill of Rights...
...gov't. as criminal enterprise is alive and well in Washington (but it's okay - they're our thugs and tyrants, huh?)

I s'pose it's too much to expect the nation's top law enforcement officer to actually uphold the law of the land (it's called the U.S. Constitution...perhaps you've heard of it...?) rather than destroy its primary precepts. It would be easier to list the Amendments the 'Patriot Act' doesn't (attempt to) nullify than those it does (I have faith that it will not survive legal challenge).

BTW, I have no desire to be on your (quite obviously appropriated) ping list.

PARTY is NOT everything... I believe that the existence of more than 2 parties suggests that there is NOT enough difference between the 2 parties.. IMHO there is a VAST difference between the (D) and (R) so long as there IS, we must EDUCATE the public on these differences, and then we can pull the GOP back to the RIGHT where it belongs..
