The seperation of class..and priviledge was what lead to the Civil war..both sides standing on "Rights of priviledge"
The same dynamic remains in Canada to this day.
Now in our time..it has evolved into the corporation...mega and global..again..wealth and power in the hands of few compared to the masses who are dependent upon their kindness to give them employ and freedoms
Lately..the powers desire our rights to be curtailed some... national security the cry..when in fact..it is an opportunity to regain control in an every widening market and populational dynamic.
Sort of ..we know whats best for you.
Multi level Insurance..you can hardly own,or operate anything legally without it...guess who Britian gave that to.
I better stop here..before I get into hot water!
-British troops were not removed from US soil until around 1800. They occupied western forts west and north of Penn. and along the Ohio.
"...British class and file remained..so did the families and their money..."
-The average British "grunt" didn't come over here with his family, and had precious little money. Those who did have both were the upper eschlons of the officer corps, aristrocrats all. They had very little reason-- if any-- to remain in America. And what the heck is this "class and file"? Surely you aren't suggesting that before the Revoluntairy War the citizens of colonial America were all pure and equal.
As for the assertion that "seperation of class" and "rights of priviledge" was the underlining cause of the War Between the States, well...that certinly is a new angle, I'll grant you that.
