It must be very dark and sad to sit in front of a computer and wait for the occasional opportunity to use one's slang and cussing to..........um, I guess make yourself feel better. Really, really pitiful. Frankly I stopped feeling sorry a long time ago. Some people are perfectly happy to be unhappy and might as well be left to wallow in their own misery.
KeyesFor President went from a fairly reasonable Keyester to now baiting anyone who will bite into a Keyes argument. Why? Has he no life?
I will gladly bump this thread and give ol' Rowdee some crumbs for her life of misery. I can hardly wait to read another of her articlate (hehehehe) remarks. Maybe KFP will get his jollies too. Obviously he has been searching hard for a kick also. Better yet, they could team up since they appear to be quite comfy as chums. Too bad.....I had much more hope for KFP.
So on it will go. I couldn't care less what any of these Keyesters do personally but I will speak my mind here whenever the opportunity arises or the whim strikes me. Rowdee is like gum under my shoe........I don't have to look at it........I just step on it and walk by. But once in awhile I decide to stop and scrape it off.
Am I to assume that this then
While Keyes and Kristol were roomates in college, others were boozing, partying and members of "secret societies" doing who knows what kind of weird things.
is not a personal attack on George W. Bush?
I mean a-r-t-i-c-u-l-a-t-e. I shouldn't try tpost on FR and work at the same time.
How true !!!!!!!!
Im sorry, but Alan Keyes is a shameless self-promoter and has become nothing but an unnecessary distraction.
DAVID HOROWITZ,one of the chief engineers of George W. Bushs "compassionate conservative" crusade, saved our country in 2000 from both Mr. Keyes and the Democrats. He and his website, Frontpagemag.com are now changing the fundamental direction of our nation.
Until now, most Americans have been forced to watch our country and its culture drift further and further to the left. Not knowing the true reasons for this degeneration, we have felt helpless to stop it. We have wasted our time and our money supporting political candidates who have cynically sold us false promises about their ability to restore true American values. Now, after years of investigation and with precious little time to spare, DAVID HOROWITZ has finally found the ACTUAL SOURCE of this foul tide. Armed with irrefutable proof, he has exposed the CONSERVATIVE HOLOCAUST that has until now been secreted behind the tall, ivy-covered walls of academia.
Freepers, I personally urge you to support Mr. Horowitz's campaign in every way possible. Forget the politicians. Instead, speak to your neighbors. Form committees. Demand to see what is actually written in the textbooks given to our kids. Write letters demanding protection for conservative students and faculty. Show up at David's campaign stops. Visit Frontpagemag.com. Finally, and most importantly, I urge you to immediately send David as much money as you possibly can to save our Christian conservative values from extinction. And please, FReepers, DIG DEEP because this is no time for half measures.
With David's leadership, we can and we will DEFEAT INTELLECTUAL TERRORISM and save our country from the evils of FULL BLOWN SOCIALISM.
Thank you, America, LET'S ROLL!
If you are really and truly interested in what you claim, pay a visit to your resident foul-mouth, Rowdee. Start there and maybe you'll have some credibility.
And mercy, here you are again....bless your lil' ol' heart.
Well, I don't blame you and your friends at all for trying to keep this thread bumped to the top so more and more people can take note of this wonderful opportunity for the conservative side of the aisle to have a well-spoken voice speakinig for it.
As an aside, wouldn't it be a little more polite or compassionate if you'd allow Daughter and Howlin to have a chance to win today's big prize? They are trying so hard to be the best CLOSET KEYESTER.
Again, thank you so much for shining as a CLOSET KEYESTER.
To: Keyes For President
Happy Feast of the Epiphany, and always be of good cheer!
We'll do the Keyes/Kristol thread later, if anyone cares.
Meanwhile, don't bait the harpies. It does no one any good. And, frankly, I don't care what any of us did in college ... I'm not proud of all that I did, and I guess that's true for a bunch of us.
Best to you, and to all,
Richard F.
If we want to find the silver lining I suppose we can pat ourselves on the back for providing company for a lonely soul. I guess it's us or throwing rocks at passing cars. Consider yourselves, as I do myself, as performing a public service.
The even greater thing is that Paul Begala might be stupid enough to think he could survive a round with Keyes.
I am VERY hopeful that this won't become a race-centered show. Keyes is a man of substance, wit, and character. He has much to offer.
Sometimes I have understood his support for George W. Bush to be less than enthusiastic. I sort of wish he would be less, shall we say, "McCain-like", in his support for GW. Nevertheless, in the main, I agree with what he says. His problem is that he's a "my way or the highway" conservative, which may win you a primary or two, but will never win you a general.
Be Seeing You,
Chris
The problem is, your "parody" is baseless. You made up the scenarios and responses to put Keyes down. If you have a point that's based in reality, why not address what Keyes actually said that you have a problem with?
Is it Keyes' staunch opposition to abortion that you dislike? Do you think he should soften his stance on this issue? Is it too "harsh"?
Or do you have a problem with Keyes' commentary after one presidential debate last year, when he was asked his opinion of Bush calling Jesus Christ his "favorite philosopher"? Keyes actually had the audacity to state his opinion that Bush was wrong; Jesus Christ was not a philosopher, he said, because philosophers are seekers of truth. Instead, "Jesus Christ is the Truth."
Those are the only things I can think of that your "parody" could possibly be addressing. Not exactly what Id call funny.
This sums it up. I was once an admirer but I can't get past his major personality/character flaws. He could use his God-given gifts to do much more good if he cared more about reaching the unaware than promoting himself to a rapt crowd that is already convinced.
I said (much earlier on this thread) that if he could succeed in promoting his pro-life belief to new converts I would be the first to be appreciative.
However, all his outward appearances, attitudes and words have shown him to be a pompous, jealous, egotistical man. He will remain a preacher that only seeks a choir that fills the offering plate. That spells self-serving and hardly one that honestly seeks the hearts of those that aren't yet open.
