Not at all.
Stop and think. Young man steals A/C. Chooses to fly toward largest city in area. Was able to take off, retract gear, fly 25 miles, but made no to attempt to avoid building. Chooses to fly into Bank of America.
Motive?

Flying into buildings is only done on purpose. Only a Muslim Jihadist or a homegrown nutcase would do this.

Chooses to fly into Bank of America. Probably dumb enough to think that it's the Fed gov't bank rather than a private enterprise.

No retractable gear on this model. If there was it would be a RG 172.

Motive? What does that have to do with the owner of the Flight School? Does Henry Ford have to answer for every drunk driver?

If he was a terrorist, I think he'd made more of a statement by plowing through the CentCom planning trailers at MacDill.

Your posts stand out because you are making the most sense. The St. Pete Flight school, whatever it's called is over here by me in St. Pete. If the kid took off from St. Pete, we have two airports here, one north of me and one south of me. This I don't know at this time.
What is clear is that he flew over Tampa Bay to get from here to Tampa and his first stop was MacDill Air Force Base, home of Central Command.
Then he flew downtown where Cent Command holds their press conferences in the City Center Building. If he violated Cent Command's air space, did any jets scramble? Did he violate Cent Command's air space? Anyone know? They are parallel to my house across the water.

Why don't we wait and see what the facts are instead of ranting and raving like some hysterical woman?
