And while the agent is kept from doing his job, is the President's life endangered? What people here are essentially saying is that any pilot, for any reason can deny boarding to any person. They saw he had an 'arabic looking' book and decided right then and there he was not going to get on that plane.

Jim Angle of Fox News reported the other night that SS agents are provided a phone number to give pilots or authorities at airports(direct link) when their paperwork is questioned(he says it happens all the time).
I usually takes 5min to clear up the situation. Angle said, this pilot refused to do so thinking it was a phony number and whoever would answer would be a friend/cohort of the supposed agent.
He didn't even try.

I don't know what to make of this whole story, I'll wait till more facts come out.

In aviation, being pilot-in-command means you are legally responsible for everything that happens with regard to that aircraft. That's why you see the pilots on the tarmac doing the pre-flight themselves. End of discussion.

No doubt the pilot was a little jumpy thinking about the passengers, building occupants, and the flight crews also employed by American Airlines (whom he probably knew personally) who were killed by men of Arab descent a few months ago.

The SS agent appears to have an attitude problem. Part of this SS agent's job in protecting the president is to profile. It seems the profiler doesn't like being profiled. He's just another sickening cry baby.
