Here's one from Karen who's from upstate, New York. Big territory. "Bill, I almost always agree with you, but you are really wrong on this one. The pilot did exactly the right thing. And anyone who believes a government ID cannot be forged is living in a fantasy."

He has by implication stated that he would not stop a middle aged Arab gentlemen with a gun and improper paperwork from entering an area where the POTUS was.

Where do you get your information from??? I know he has a college level book on Mid-Eastern history to find their number.

He was profiled. He got the best lawyer he could find. Would you go get a financial lawyer if charged with a crime??? Would you go to the ACLU or NAACP???

I am proud he is guarding my president and can go into the Arab community be accepted and get information no white guy could.

Wallid Shatter was charged with a crime?

I thought he just had to wait 24 hours to fly to Waco.

The lawyers came looking for HIM, pal.

And Walsh07 is right. How could Wallid stop a middle-eastern man with a gun without being accused of the very thing he's accusing AA of?

Both you and he are incapable of guarding the President since you are blinded by pc balogna. Every cop and SS agent in the world profiles which is why this guys actions are either hypocritical or he is incapable of doing his job.

Being proud of something doesn't mean anything, there are millions of Americans who are still proud of President Clinton. Perhaps they are proud because Clinton, like this SS agent, refused to profile bin LAden for fear of offending your sensibilities.

He should grow up and you should find somebody else to admire imho.

I also question how this story reached the media and would not put it pass a pilot to call the media to cause problems for the President (remenber the Bush Daughters?)

You haven't read the thread. Go back to the previous section. An article was published in the NYT on 12/27 and it looks to be sourced from CAIR, the Arab ACLU. This has been orchestrated by the discrimination trial bar from the get-go.

How dumb are you? You actually think AA WANTS publicity on something like this?

He did notify someone. The police were notified, the pilots supervisor was notified, security was notified. How do you know that nothing was done?

I have a simple solution: Arm all of the passengers and let the A$$hole on board. Any trouble he starts will be brief and probably fatal for him. Problem solved. No baggage checks, no strip searches, no paperwork, and I can keep my wife calm with her knitting needles.

So I must believe in the NWO, the Black Helicoptors, UN soilders marching in American streets, Clinton being responsible for the OKC bombing, President Bush being behind the Anthrax letters, that Bush is a sellout because he only got 80-90% of his proposed tax cut, that he's a sell out for allowing any stem cell research, etc. etc. So if I question any of this, Im guilty of moral relativism. LOL.

No, you are to believe that Clinton committed treason, oath violation, perjury, obstruction of justice. You are to believe that DemocRATS lie, cheat, slander, steal and scare for political agenda. You are to believe that Bill Press is a scumbag piece of s#$t and anything he says is suspect. You are to believe that Gore tried to steal the election and did all he could to defraud the public with the media's help.

Finally, you are to believe that if a chip on his shoulder, defensive, f#$k up Secret Service Agent couldn't pull his head out of his ass - and got a defense attorney to come up with a bunch of bulls#$t that the pilot is a Arab hating racist - that he and his Quran should get his bad attitude off the airplane. In short you are to be a rational human being.

Yes, I'd love to have seen that. Press is so dogmatic and tows the party line so religiously that he leaves himself open to reasoned debate.

He gets away with a lot because of his pleasant personality, but he is unthinking and Democratic in his doctrine.

To me it was a real eye opener for him, obviously well fed and affluent, to go against good schools and the chance of a good education for minority children in the inner city. Such a hypocrite!

How can this agent possibly do his job protecting the POTUS? He has by implication stated that he would not stop a middle aged Arab gentlemen with a gun and improper paperwork from entering an area where the POTUS was. If he did, he would by his account, be profiling and Lord knows we shouldn't be profiling, right?

Where do you come up with this foolishness? The agent should have been profiled up and down, but both for the agents sake and that of other air passengers and flight crews, the agents identity should have been checked out. The pilot FAILED to do that and FAILED to call in SWAT to do that for him. How many times in the past three months have you heard of people being escorted off a plane by SWAT or the FBI for opening a birthday card with confetti or carrying the wrong book on board. You would think carrying a gun would raise to atleast the same level as confetti. Dont you?

Profiling means focusing your screening on certain individuals that fit the pattern of prior terrorists or criminals. You then check them out and if all concerns are eliminated (i.e., the agent is who he says he is and is on mission that he claims, you allow him to board. If you are still concerned about the gun have it stored either in the cockpit or have it checked.) Profiling does not mean just arbitrarily eliminating the right to fly to a whole class of people. That is discrimination, and unlike profiling, is against the law.

Sounds like youve lost control of your emotions. Guess in your case the terrorists have won.

You completely misrepresented the agent's contact with the press and CAIR. I haven't seen you retract that.

I dont know how Ive done that. I dont know what the agents contact with the press and CAIR have been. I dont know whether he contacted the press or whether they contacted him. If they contacted him, I dont know if he spoke to them. You ASSume you know, but you dont know it for a fact.

I dont know what his connection with CAIR is? I presume they may have contacted him to push their agenda. I dont know that he has to give them his permission for them to file a complaint. Do you?

Also is CAIR connected to his lawyers or not? You all presume the first thing this agent did upon being bumped was call CAIR and lawyer up. I dont see that proven anywhere and as I said before, an armed arab standing at a gate for an hour, "arguing" with a pilot, airlines personnel, and airport police is not likely to go unnoticed. With your strong profiling beliefs, you would clearly have noticed such a thing if you had walked by or boarded that flight. Some of the minimum wage airport security people could also have found out and smelled a payoff for their knowledge.

We need more profiling to avoid future Sept. 11ths

DISCRIMINATE OR DIE!

Discrimination is not a bad thing or we would all be satisfied with rotting food. Speaking of which, why are disruptors Dave S(audi) and ImphClinton still here?

Why are the rest of you wasting time and bandwidth with these terrorists?

They neglected to take his gun during this whole episode. No one ever drew a gun on him. Boy you sure dont require much of the pilot do you. Doesnt sound like they were seriously worried they he might be an armed terrorist past three levels of security. They sure didnt act like it.

Also note they didnt close down the airport. Every day this week there is another report of an airport being temporarily closed down because some luggage wasnt checked properly or someone made it pass security, or whatever. Apparently they didnt treat this case that way.

FAce it, the pilot knew the guy was likely an agent and therefore not a threat. He just didnt want him on his flight, perhaps thinking being armed he would make his passengers uncomfortable. Who knows, but if the captains and Airlines actions are what we are to expect when confronted with a serious security threat, then you wont get me on board a flight anytime soon.

Do you truly think that the Agent and the Airline are the only two potential sources for the story. Airport filled with thousands of people on one of the busiest flying days of the year. Armed arab with gun clearly visible (no coat)claiming to be Secret SErvice agent, arguing with pilot, airline gate personnel and airport police for over an hour and you dont think this would attract anyones attention? Every TV news report I watched around Christmas had their local reporters giving reports from the airports. Potentially three or four TV crews at the airport and you dont think they might catch wind of it? You must think the reporters are dumber than your pilot.
