[history]
Here's one from Karen who's from upstate, New York. Big territory. "Bill, I almost always agree with you, but you are really wrong on this one. The pilot did exactly the right thing. And anyone who believes a government ID cannot be forged is living in a fantasy."

The New York Times was already reporting it.

Stop your crying..............this PC garbage doesn't hold water anymore. Stupid people like you will get everybody killed as you cling to the flotsam known as 'political correctness'. No its stupid people like you and your idol pilot who dont determine whether an armed individual is an agent or terrorist. As long as he wasnt on his flight he had no concern for other passengers or flight crews. The pilot was incompetent.
As far as political correctness, I dont know where you are getting that. I never said the Agent didnt look suspicious. I would question an arab-American secret service agent because that doesnt seem to fit the mold you see on TV. However, the pilot did a very poor job and used poor judgement in attempting to qualify the threat. Perhaps thats why we get Reids getting through and Secret SErvice agents being dumped.

What were the rest of the passengers on this plane suppose to do while this "agent" got his act together? Perhaps you would like it if they sat around and delayed THEIR trip because he couldn't or wouldn't produce the identification that satisfied the airline.
Was it THEIR fault that the guy couldn't do the paperwork correctly? The airlines DO have a schedule, you know.

Zohrehvandis lawyers, Kelli Evans and Christy Lopez, belong to the Washington-based civil rights firm Relman and Associates, whose attorneys are best known for winning large class action settlements in the recent Dennys restaurant and Avis Rent-a-Car discrimination suits. The firm is representing several other men kicked off planes as well. Evans and Lopez, both veterans of the US Department of Justice Civil Rights Division, compare Zohrehvandis having to wait for a pilot willing to fly him to forcing a customer in a restaurant to wait until a non-discriminatory waitress is willing to serve him. Refusal to provide service to a passenger because of his or her race is illegal, they argue, and federal law appears to be on their side.

..and spare us the BS..........everybody with half a brain knows the magic words in America today to grab unearned money. It goes like this: "I'm the victim of (race, gender, sexual orientation, blah, blah, blah take your pick) discrimination" These people use this garbage to extort money from businesses and corporations as a way of life. If this is really the way things are today, Im surprised YOU havent filed your reverse discrimination suit yet.

I hate it when people get on these threads and post as FACT their personal opinions/agenda.
If I had to fly today, I would pick American because they are obviously LOOKING at passengers. It may be racial profiling, but to me, slamming those planes into the Pentagon, the ground, and the WTC was "racial profiling," too. I mean, they did hit us because of WHO we are.
My opinion of all this is this: if I were an Arab American, and a whole class of MY people had committed these acts, I would be doing everything I could to distance myself from them and help find the ones responsible. I'm not hearing that from ANY of the Arabs in this country; all I'm hearing is whining.
And I'll bet you $500 that these attorneys contacted THIS guy.

Just how many lives do you think Dave S would be willing to sacrifice upon the altar of Political Correctness? Would 300 be sufficient? Or 3,000? Or 3,000,000? Dont doubt if you were willing to offer yours as a sacrifice I would gladly take it.
I dont like poltical correctness either but I dont use it as an excuse for every racist thought like some.

Because he was who he said he was smart ass. How about I give you my home phone number and you call the number and ask who I am.
BTW, did I tell you I'm Elizabeth Taylor?

The firm is representing several other men kicked off planes as well. Well it certainly appears that Relman and associates have an assembly-line operation going here, no doubt fostered by getting fed willing participants like Wallid Shatter by CAIR.
Their objective seems to be to hamstring the airlines by taking the decision about who flies and who doesn't AWAY from the pilots and placed with, no doubt, some bureaucracy which terrorists will eagerly exploit.

It's not the questioning of authority that's a problem to me (although I'll reiterate again that the pilot's goal is to get his passenger's safely to point B), it's this whining about hurt feelings that irks me the most. This smells like 2 year old trash. Kindly point out where I whinned about hurt feelings.

Under his leadership, the project achieved national recognition, winning some of the largest housing, lending and public accommodations discrimination jury verdicts and settlements obtained in the country. Ding ding ding!
Well, now you have ruined my Saturday. I KNOW that I have read something about that HUD stuff being in court, involving Andrew Cuomo. I'll spend the rest of the day looking for it.

Right. Yet all we here from them is, "We're really sorry, but you deserved it".
