"rude" is repeating something to someone for the 3rd or 4th time. (IMO)
Comment was "DOH! ya think? " and "DOUBLE DOH!!!":

"Rude":

1. ill-mannered: disagreeable or discourteous in manner or action Don't be rude!

2. indecent: offensive to accepted standards of decency rude words

3. unrefined: lacking refinement or social skills

I think #1 & #3 apply??

But you are correct in that you stopped at TWO! Too bad that Redcloak didn't have such good sense! :o)

Encarta Dictionary: "Rude"

Please don't concern yourself with the safety of my hubby and son....

The Media is obviously quite unconcerned for their safety. You'll have to pardon me, but I'm going to ignore your request. I shall continue to be concerned that they are in greater danger because the Media is making America look like it can't bear the cost of war.

Your post are getting more senseless. In which War were war deaths not reported??? Please cease your senseless rant. Thanks.

Did you ever enroll in the ESL program??

I can be polite or I can be concerned that lives may be lost. Which do you prefer?

Ok, I will skip the DOH and give you a DUH.

Only 4 people repeated to me that Mike Spann was CIA not Military and I already knew that and pointed out in my comment a different angle.

If you made a statement that more than 4 other people didn't understand and 4 of them replied back to you with the same comment, I would expect you to give a DOH or at least point out something kinder like "what the hecks the matter with you? Can't you read the thread you ignorant slut? You are the 4th person to tell me the same thing. Learn to read and then reply"

Maybe something like that would be better recieved than "DOH".

Let me know which would be more appropriate, I will attempt to comply.

Try Deion Sanders answer when asked if he would accept a $15 million offer or a $20 million offer to join (or stay with) the Cowboys: BOTH! :o)

Concern for the loss of life and concern for your delicate sensibilities would seem to be mutually exclusive goals.

Your comment "Mike Spann was first." appeared on post #14.
I very often when I read a thread will see a comment and reply to it only to find out later that the issue was resolved in a reply later in the thread. When I look at homeschool mama's first post (#43), I think that's what happened to her. I guess nobody's perfect. I know I'm not. Thanks. . .

And therein lies the problem. They aren't reading this thread or any other on FR. They are looking at all of the Western news sites that have this one man's death as their lead story. It is from those sites, not this thread, that they will conclude that we are weak and unable to bear the cost of war.

I don't agree in the least with your conclusion but if that is the problem you should take your rant to those news sites or at least another thread. Not on a thread established to pay respect to our dead.

Perhaps I haven't made myself clear:

You are. As you said yourself you don't care at all about the sensitivities of anyone on this thread. That was clear to all of us before you said it.

The terrorists are going to attack us again whether we look weak or not. If they guage their chances by watching television news they will always be wrong. I don't think they think that much. You give them too much credit and us too little. Today I'll shed tears for a lost brother, tomorrow I will bare my teeth.

FReegards, Redcloak.

I guess. But I know I won't bump this anymore, wait for the FOX version to be posted. I see a point to this: you might think the liberal left would be all up in arms over the death of one of our enlisted in this seeing as President Bush has already forewarned the obvious, that there would be casualties. To make it "breaking news" seems to say "Hey, we shouldn't be doing this". And before anyone flames me, maybe they should consider the viewpoint. I am not saying it is wrong to point it out when there are deaths, but it IS going to happen and it does not imply we are wrong to be there. My cousin lost her fience in the WTC so flame all you like, you only will because you don't "get it". It'd be like people at DU posting in Breaking "Dems vote twice". You don't see President Bush making a news announcement over this military personnels death. But then I have seen people on FR claim to run and hide in a corner when a picture posted of WTC tennants jumping from the flames is viewed only to accuse the poster of cruelty, when it was to only keep in the forefront why we are over there.

People can get hysterical.

Sad for the deaths, but it is to be expected.

Since when is this a thread "to pay respect to our dead"?! FreeRepublic is primarily a site for discussing news stories. If you want a nice, respectful memorial thread, go start one. This is a news thread.

I came across this story in a book I've been reading about the Middle East, and I thought some of you might find it interesting.

Once upon a time, there was a man who had three sons, two daughters, one wife, a humble home and a camel. Then one day, he came across a wild turkey in the desert.

Happily he brought the turkey home, as he viewed as a good omen from Allah. He fed the turkey well, and kept it well tended as it would have been sacriligeous to treat Allah's bounty with anything less then respect.

However, one day he came home to find that someone had stolen his turkey. He cried out to his sons: "Go and find the turkey quickly, or else all is lost!"

His sons laughed at him, however, saying that "Who cares if we lose a turkey? What good are they?". And so they went about their chores, ignoring their father's request.

Within a week, however, someone had stolen the family's camel, attacked one of the sons, and raped one of the daughters.

The sons came to their father, and said:"Oh father, please help us! What should we do?". To which the old man replied "What you should have done is listened when I told you to find who stole the turkey."

"Because once our neighbours saw that someone could steal a turkey from us, they knew that they could take everything from us. "

.

So if you think that showing sorrow over the death of American solders is wrong, that showing weakness of any kind whatsoever is wrong, please keep in mind that this is also the way many of the Arabs think as well.

And we all know that their way of thinking is completely wrong, don't we? ;)

Give that disruptive young man a seegar.

Red is viewing this in light of how Islamics think

You are correct. This is why I later quoted Sun Tzu. By no means am I saying that the Islamic worldview is correct; but, that is the worldview of our enemy. If we refuse to acknowledge that, we do so at our peril.

***"rude" is repeating something to someone for the 3rd or 4th time. (IMO) ***

Now I think I get it. You've got your undies in a bunch because you were told about the CIA/Military difference 3 or 4 times?!

Newsflash!!! *I* wasn't the one that said it 3 or 4 times, hon. I said it ONCE to you. Do you understand that?

Shame on you for allowing your pride to get in the way of posting decently. Your posts to me were rude and in complete contradiction to your bio. You owe me an apology.
