Arabic-Speaking Jews Behind 9/11 Attacks?
Asharq al-Awsat (London) via Israel National News ^ | 02 January 2002 | Michael Collins Piper

Posted on 01/03/2002 4:14:29 AM PST by IcommGen

An author named Michael Collins Piper wrote an article that appeared in London’s Arabic newspaper, Asharq al-Awsat, in which he suggests that Kahanist Jews in the Mossad could be behind the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon. He poses two questions: “Were those hijackers really Arabs? Would Israeli agents carry out a suicide mission that could cost American Jewish lives?”

By way of an answer, Piper refers to a JDL leader quoted by Robert I. Friedman in the Village Voice as saying, in 1986, “If you think the Shias in Lebanon are capable of fantastic acts of suicidal terrorism, the Jewish underground will strike targets that will make Americans gasp: ‘How could Jews do such things?’” Therefore, the Asharq al-Awsat article continues, “it is entirely conceivable the ‘Middle Eastern’ men described by passengers on the airliners were not Arabs at all… instead, these hijackers could well have been Israeli-sponsored fundamentalist Jewish fanatics (posing as ‘Bin Laden Arabs’) hoping to instigate an all-out US war against the Arab world.”

The author tries to identify a “suicide tradition” in Jewish history, “going back to the famous mass suicide at Masada by Jewish zealots.” The article contains no other examples of this “tradition,” but does mention the Israeli willingness, as reported by reputed ex-Mossad man Victor Ostrovsky, to undertake missions from which there would be no escape if they are caught.

The Arabic language heard on the black box of one airplane becomes more evidence of Mossad involvement, according to Piper, for “it is a long-standing policy for Israeli intelligence to disguise Jews as Arabs: One of the established goals of the intelligence and security services is that each officer be fluent in Arabic… Many Israelis have come from Arab countries where they were born and educated and appear more Arab than Israeli…” The author even quotes a 1998 article from Ha’aretz that reportedly alleges that Shin Bet agents operating among Israeli Arabs in the 1950’s even married Moslem women and had children with them in order to maintain their cover. Piper goes on to suggest that the evidence found linking the September attacks was far too conveniently placed and led to one conclusion – that Arabs were involved. This leads him to ask, “Why Arabs would plant evidence implicating their own is a point mainstream [pro-Israel] media chooses not to address.”

Should one doubt that Israel would carry out an attack that could be calculated to kill so many American Jews, Piper declares, “Hard-line Israelis are willing to kill Jews if it means assuring Israel’s survival.” According to the Asharq al-Awsat article, Rabbi Meir Kahane “called for killing ‘Hellenist [i.e. Western-oriented] spiritually sick [Jews] who threaten the existence of Judaism.’ That would include those working in slick offices in the World Trade Center, living on Long Island, rather than kibbutzing in Israel.” According to Piper’s understanding, or lack thereof, when “Kahane called for all Jews to ‘go home’ to Israel,” that meant that “[t]hose who refused to ‘go home’ were expendable.”

Yet, a few Jews writing essays is not enough to carry out the terrorist attacks of September, so the Asharq al-Awsat article claims that “this Jewish attitude toward the West (exactly what the media says is the Islamic attitude) has support at the Mossad’s top levels.” Furthermore, again depending on works by Robert I. Friedman, the article’s author states that “Ariel Sharon is one of the ‘most potent supporters’ of such extremism.” The article goes on to describe in depth what the author suggests is a possible motive for the attacks: To get Jews to see Israel as the last safe refuge. In order cause that to happen, Jewish lives, according to Piper’s understanding of Zionism, are expendable. Quoting another Israeli, Ehud Sprinzak, the article claims that “these views are ‘a major school’ of modern Israeli thought.” They also, according to Piper “represent widespread opinion in Israel’s military and intelligence services.”

The Asharq al-Awsat article concludes with, “Did Ariel Sharon help orchestrate the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks to instigate all-out US war against Israel’s enemies? Don’t discount it.”

Another nice opportunity to remind the world about the level of filth that Arab countries (and publications) generate for their brainwashing agenda.

What is more amazing to me then this article is that there are millions and millions of people in the West that will simply not accept what the Islamic world is really about. I hope the world never gets to the situation where we get to point our fingers in their faces and say 'I told you so', because by then, it will be too late.

Ah yes, the Big Lie.

It is kind of them to constantly remind us how stupid and venal the "Islam is the religion of peace" crowd is.

Careful, without realizing it, I fear you may be a victim of the same threat you warn about. (I.e. you're thinking like somebody from a Judeo-Christian culture,..not a Muslim)

Many of the same people who fail to accept what the Islam world is all about, are also so arrogant that even when displayed to them, in their face,..i.e. WTC attack, they will still refuse to deduce any conclusions.

They will simply remain blank faced, arrogant, angry, and seek power by any method while ignoring the threat. (Funny, if somebody didn't follow the thread, they might think I was describing a Senator from NY.)

The funny part about this conspiracy theory is that it declines to mention why the Mossad would leave a trail pointing to al Queda, when al Queda reall hasn't had much to do with the anti-Israel crowd, but instead was anti-America and against the royal families of Jordan and Saudi Arabia. There are numerous Palestinian groups whose anti-American rhetoric would have made them easy fall guys.

If it was the Mossad, it didn't really do much to help Israel. Instead, it increased the probability of a violent war elsewhere in the Middle East which would could spread to Israel, and endanger Israel even more.

That is why I truly find the theory hilarious.

Listen, to you and me, to normal people, WTC was enough of a wake up call. Many of us were already awake, but putting that aside, WTC should have been the straw that broke the camels back, so to speak.

Yet, i think there are people (millions) who will not wake up until lets say 2 nukes go off, maybe one in tel-aviv and one in new york, london, paris (would that be so bad?, j/k)take your pick...

2 nukes? You know, I think you're right.

All the worry about airplanes, buildings etc is nonsense and old news. OBL and Al Qaeda always try something new.

I fear the nuclear or bomb with radioactives is the most potent threat. It even has Biblical implications. The most likely targets are Tel Aviv (the most Jewish and least Arab-objectionable site in Israel to bomb) and either NY or Washington, DC ("to destroy the head of the snake").

What is truly terrifying is that these types of attacks are not only possible, but very likely as the world moves further into widespread proliferation of nuclear materials and knowledge.

The timer for our nation is ticking.
