Well I hope you all enjoyed this list. It's my first real self-articulated vanity. If you have anything else to add feel free.

There's another difference. Most of the Borg I've seen are cuter than most of the Demoncrats I've seen. Ref Hitlery, Maddy Notsobright, Rosie. Blech.

Resistance is Futile. - They never give up.
The body can be enhanced through machinery - Tatoos and Piercings are promoted and praised.

One of the best Star Trek The Next Generation Episodes ever is "I, Borg" where a lost Borg named Hugh becomes a Republican. They then sent him back to the collective to screw everything up with his original thoughts. It is sort of like some dissident posting on the Democratic Underground website.

hehehe...good stuff bogey. I like it. For the last couple of years, I've used "borg" to describe leftists in talking with friends. It's so appropriate.

Borg or Democrat? Is there difference? You can take one look at Al Gore and ask that?

Well Done! The Borg episodes were among the best.
Did you see what they did when the ratings started to go down?

Yeah...another similarity I just thought up. Once you become a borg the process of regaining your humanity is difficult and requires years of therapy. Same for Dems.
This was inspired by a quote I posted earlier about a guy who fled Cali to get away from them.
"Capt. Jean-Luc Picard: They invade our space, and we fall back. They assimilate entire worlds, and we fall back. Not again. The line must be drawn HERE. This far NO farther. And I will make them pay for what they've done."

Nice picture of the Counselor's new uniform.

Forget the Borg, gimmie that counselor!
To: Bogey78O
Ok, that's spooky. My spouse and I were just discussing the similarities yesterday! All I can say is.. you're right on the mark!

Scientific pursuit is the most sought after goal.I think that is a slight stretch. I would say technological advancement in the service of conquest would be a more exact description. Certainly the Federation planets place a high priority on science.
To: NativeNewYorker
I should have clarified that more. I added the next line to emphasize the science at the expense of humanity issue.

Of course, given that the Federation is a bunch of socialists, it's a wonder that Hugh became a Republican.

"Borg or Democrat? Is there difference?" The Borg are much more open-minded.
