THE Clinton clan is up to its eyeballs in holiday spirit. Thursday night, Bill, Hillary, Chelsea and a fellow who appeared to be Chelsea's latest boyfriend Ian Klause had a regular ho-down at Brasserie 81/2 on West 57th Street. While Hillary stuck to water, Bill and Chelsea - whose boozy exploits were recently reported in the tabs - were hitting the Ketel One with gusto, a source told The Post's Braden Keil. Bubba washed his vodka down with cassoulet and then lost his cell phone somewhere between the restaurant and his limo. Secret Service agents were dispatched to find it.
Look at it this way, Howlin: we are well prepared to wage a war against terror on the home front...we have been monitoring suspicious behavior for 9 years!!
think "leftovers" gussied up and you about have it.
Regards,
Note to PJ: I'm on FR way too early today. I didn't get the "blue dress" comment until after post 13 (duh), I'm assuming it's just creme de menthe?
The Secret Service grapevine (which extends into other DC Metro social groups) has been active with these kinds of stories since 1992, even on the campaign trail.
For example, the sterile marital behavior of the Clintons - separate hotel rooms - was on the circuit in the summer of 1992.
Gary Aldrich unveiled the public servant's view of the Clintons in "Unlimited Access." His stories were representative of the things that have been circulating for many years.
Yeah, Monica is currently living in NYC. In fact, Hillary is her senator which means that Monica could call upon Hillary for some constituent help such as some sort of tax break for producing her shlocky handbags.
I see PJ was pulling my leg on post #4...bad bad PJ (lol).
Thanks... I was just too lazy to open my 6-inch think dictionary that sits right next to me or even another window to check on-line :-)
Actually you have to wonder if they would really do their job for the Clintons were someone to try and harm them. Can you imagine their idea of the SS agent catching a bullet for the very people that crapped on them for the last 9 years ???
I seriously don't think that they would do it.
LIKE any smart young Hollywood girl, Monica Lewinsky has been wearing Prada all her life. So the former White House intern was right at home when the luxe design house opened its Aspen store at the weekend. She nicely filled her red Prada sweater and partied with other devotees of the label including Ivana Trump, Nicole Miller, Christian Slater and all the Hiltons - Kathy, Rick, Paris and Nicky. Paris was there with her model boyfriend, Jason Shaw. The store itself is a four-story affair that looks like a luxury chalet with fireplaces and stone floors. Dustin Hoffman gave it an approving once-over as he shopped for his wife and daughter. After the opening party, many of the guests went on to a dinner at Harley Baldwin's wildly popular and very exclusive Caribou Club.
An excellent book for folks who don't know the history of the Clintoon white house years.
Remember how Gary was all set and ready with interviews for the release of that book??
Musta been a lot of arm twisting, but not one major network would put him on TV.
If memory serves, Gary was actually at his first taping and was told it was cancelled.
That convinced me immediately these folks had power.
I'll see what others have to say on the matter.
:-)
I am not sure that they do not have their own, but I DO KNOW that the law limiting former Presidents to ten years goes into effect with President Bush (43). We are stuck paying for them to guard Clinton as long as he lives.
If Gary had made it onto the Today Show which kind of look do you think Katie Couric would have given him?
a) The look of absolute adoration beaming from her happy eyes?
b) Darts of anger emanating from her glaring eyes?
It wouldn't surprise me a bit if the Klintoons stuck this guy with the bar tab. Come to think of it, who did pick up the tab for the Klintoons? They are notoriously cheap so it would surprise me if they picked up the tab on their own dime.
