India, Pakistan prepare nukes, troops for war
Drudge Report ^

Posted on 12/30/2001 8:10:51 PM PST by GulliverSwift

The most alarming signs are preparations in both states for the use of nuclear-tipped missiles.

Intelligence agencies have learned of indications that India is getting its short-range Prithvi ballistic missiles ready for use. The missiles are within range of the Pakistani capital, Islamabad, Gertz reports in Monday's WASH TIMES... MORE...

Meanwhile, Pakistan is mobilizing its Chinese-made mobile M-11 missiles, also known as the Shaheen, which have been readied for movement from a base near Sargodha, Pakistan.

And, if no natural disasters or nuke clouds appear.....I can have a blast using all this stuff on a hunting trip! Wish you were here...we need more conservatives.....more and more liberals are moving in from California because of our relatively cheap prices of homes (compared to California real estate).

You and your friend LenS are going to look real pretty glowing in the dark. You'll have your friend, India, to thank for that. And, gee, I guess the Indian Hindu-fascist government won't have to worry about murdering and repressing the Christian population anymore, since most of 'em will soon be fried. That will probably make you real happy. I hope the nuclear cloud passes right over your respective houses: breathe real deep, boys.

You want to see a country where American troops are stationed nuked -- and I'm "anti-American"? Put down the crack pipe, and wake up to reality: the New Year may start with World War III. But since you dudes are already mutants, I suppose you don't really care.

Make it part of India... or better yet, thousands of square miles of glass.

Answer me one question: do you think before you post?

Trust me, India will alert us to any nuclear attack in plenty of time to pull our troops out. You and I won't hear about it...but it will happen. As a matter of fact, seeing our guys packing up will be the first, best, and only warning the Paks will have.

Actualy, yes... ALL of the Islamic states are a threat to the west. Pakistan with it's nuke arsenal is the biggest threat. Nuking Pakistan would have a very stabilizing effect on the rest of the islamic world, and there's no downside to it.

I would cheer India because it is a democracy and is our ally. Pakistan is none of the above. Pakistan has chosen China as its friend. So yes, if war breaks out then I support India. I hope it does not.

As I suspected, you are so consumed with a hatred of Mohammedanism that you are totally blind to geopolitical realities.

Make Pakistan a part of India! No downside to nuking Pakistan! Your posts are becoming quite entertaining.

I can also see your hatred of Mohammedanism has totally obliterated any sense of ethics. Just out of curiousity, do you believe in the Ten Commandments? Or the Beatitudes? Or traditional Just War doctrine?

P.S. I have no objections to your hatred of Mohammedanism. I share it. It's the way you let it consume you that worries me.

Ah yes, India is such a great ally that it supported the Soviets during the cold war. Can you name anything concrete that India has done so far to help us in our war effort? I can give you a long list of what Pakistan has done.

It's amazing how many people subscribe to the absurd notion that a country is automatically an ally just because it is a democracy.

Just a little sumthin to go HMMMM over. Tactical Nukes are probly smaller but still got quite a bang for the buck.

1 Mt Surface Blast: Pressure Damage

Islamabad Islamabad
New Delhi

Key:
12 psi 12 psi (pounds per square inch)
Radius: 1.7 miles
[Note: The outside edge of this shaded area represents the 12 psi ring. Blast pressure within the ring is greater than 12 psi; blast pressure outside the ring is less than 12 psi.]
At the center of the ring lies a crater 200 feet deep and 1000 feet in diameter. The rim of this crater is 1,000 feet wide and is composed of highly radioactive soil and debris. Nothing recognizable remains within about 3,200 feet (0.6 miles) from the center, except, perhaps, the remains of some buildings' foundations. At 1.7 miles, only some of the strongest buildings -- those made of reinforced, poured concrete -- are still standing. Ninety-eight percent of the population in this area are dead.
5 psi 5 psi
Radius: 2.7 miles
Virtually everything is destroyed between the 12 and 5 psi rings. The walls of typical multi-story buildings, including apartment buildings, have been completely blown out. The bare, structural skeletons of more and more buildings rise above the debris as you approach the 5 psi ring. Single-family residences within this this area have been completely blown away -- only their foundations remain. Fifty percent of the population between the 12 and 5 psi rings are dead. Forty percent are injured.

Pakistan has done nothing by choice. Pakistan knew it was supporting those that attacked the US and that we knew it. That they would be our next target instead of Afghanistan if they didn't cooperate. Pakistan has been the breeding ground of the terrorist that terrorized both Afghanistan and India. India is no angel but compared to Pakistan it is.

I don't think the world will ever see peace until there is a one world order and government. The U.S. and allies would like to see a free, demacractic world, China and the former Soviets would like to see communism rule, and the Middle East would like to see a religious, political, military ruler guided by the Koran. But so long as everyone sticks to their own ideas, beliefs and way of life, their will always be war. Unless one sector can dominate the rest of the world. But even then, there will always be uprisings and terrorism.

So what do we go with?

I am of British decent and have resided in Canada, so I have always lived in a demacratic society. But I have an open mind and would like to share a few thoughts and questions.

Democracy - I think is a good thing. It gives people the power to vote in who they most believe, and gives us the freedom to speak up and express their opinions. On the other hand, it also gives a few power hungry, and wealthy individuals the ability to take advantage of the working people. It's money and greed that makes the world go around and I believe that certain decisions are being made, not on "our" best interest, but in the interest of certain individuals' financials and positions. What I'm saying is that freedom also gives the corrupt and greedy room to opperate.

Communism - I wouldn't want a state telling me what to do, what type of career I am going to have, etc. It's my life and I want to live it however I want, so long as I'm not hurting anyone else. If I have a dream, or my kids or wife has a dream, then I want the oportunity to be able to live that dream.

The Koran - No way! The idea of some man that lived 1,400 years ago, that is going to tell the world to live believing in terrorism and make women wear veils and not to go to school is inconcievable. Religion can be good as far as keeping people to common values, keeping families together etc., but Islam, in my opinion goes far beyond that.

I would like to stick with democracy, but it ticks me how one day, I pay so much for gasoline, the next day some fat cat somewhere decides he's going to cut oil production so I have to pay more. I think the big companies play games and use us for income and to build their wealth. Why not figure out how much the stuff costs to produce, fix a price and stick with it until it costs more, instead of scheming to find out how much money they can get out of our pockets.

Sorry, I don't know the answer. Maybe if we could put the whole world's ideas about how to run a country into a blender, we might come up with a perfect way to run the world.

WOW sandonca,

Welcome to FR, member for 2 days. I'm not going to flame your #112 post, you may just be a newbie, but..."I want peace and harmony for all the world"...is normally only heard spewing from the "cake holes" of wannabie beauty queens.

Wake up and smell the "Maple-F***in'-Nut-Crunch". It's a big, bad world out there.

Also all, taste a few of the threads on DU concerning this subject. They're changin' panties most quickly.

How about this heartless, cruel take on a potential nuclear exchange between these two. There may come a time in the future when the best solution to a military problem for us would be the use of-at a minimum-tactical nuclear weapons. And,since there hasn't been a nuclear weapon detonated in anger since 1945,we won't do it.

Let these two detonate a few;and when the world doesn't end,the poles don't reverse, the sun isn't blotted out;the option is really on the table from here on.

Care to show numbers? How many Christians and Jews have been murdered since 1948 by followers of "Islam the religion of peace" vs the number of Christians and Jews murdered by "Hindu-fascists"?

Baaaaawwwk bawk bawk.

Ahem, one point that you islamists forget to mention is that Pakistan had to remove all its troops from Kashmir to the plebiscite to occur.

Pakistana never removed its troops, and for the past fifty years there has been ethnic cleansing by the Pakistan backed Muslims.

Between you and me, the UN can shove it!

The State Department better get on the stick, it's starting to look bad.

We'll know something bad is going to go down the instant the State Department slaps travel warnings down for Pakistan(there is probably some for there already) and India. Then they'll ask for US citizens to leave the countries.

If I didn't know better, I'd swear that's a freakin' V2!!! What are they using, solid propellant? And the "nuclear" warhead must be a garbage can full of old glow-in-the-dark watches.
