The logic of promoting the use of illegal drugs

Could you point to an example where anyone here is promoting the use of illegal drugs?

in the name of freedom just makes little sense to most.

If we care about keeping civilization perking along, we don't count the noses of the pigs at the trough to decide moral issues (and if deciding what laws to have doesn't strike you as a moral issue, I give up). We choose what's right, not what's popular--that's why we live in a Constitutionally limited republic, rather than a democracy. (or, at least, that's the theory)

Is it immoral or anti-constitutional for people to choose to live in states and communities where there are laws against any or all drug use?

The problem is that what you choose as being right about this issue for you in this particular case would be considered evil. The outcome of letting illegal drug users grow and get their stuff easier would be the ruin of America in the long run. It is unethical and immoral to use illegal drugs.
