Investigators were initially inclined to accept his claim that he had acted alone, but they now believe that the complexity of the operation indicates that he was part of a broader conspiracy.

Only an idiot would have thought he could have acted alone in the first place.

The would-be Shoe Bomber traveled to seven countries this year and has no visible means of support. That fact alone proves that he had accomplices.

This is the first time I have ever quoted with approval a single statement from Billyjeff Clinton, and I do so only because it is a common expression in these parts which is self-evidently true. "When you find a turtle on a fence post, you can be sure it didn't get there by itself."

Allow me to coin a phrase: the Shoe Bomber is clearly a member of the Great Terrorist Wing Conspiracy. The only question is, who are his coconspirators. There is zero question that he has some.
