I distinctly remember burying something. Miss mammoth much?
To: Focault's Pendulum
And BTW, the word is "axiom". Isn't that a laundry deterrent or something?

I miss her a great deal, and I did not bury Miss Mammoth!

Grammar got run over by a reindeer? My Grandma is okay. And it was a moose, not a reindeer that run her over.

I'm sure that you meant MØØSE... right? ;0)

Hold it in? Who says there's no sandbox here?

" BLUE MURDER " is part of a VERY old phrase ... as in " CRYING BLUE MURDER ." An IDIOMATIC / POETIC term. I really did NOT mean to confuse anyone. SORRY. : - (
I really can't explain it further, unless I go look it up. It's just something I grew up hearing. It REALLY is good / correct English ; or used to be.
To: Fred Mertz
Sorry for the typo. Thanks for the corection. : - )
To: Focault's Pendulum
See my post to Fred.
I honestly thought that " blue murder " was common knowledge. I guess that I'll have to go paw through some books, and see IF I can find you & Fred, a definative answer. : - (

Look, I am a lowly " webbie ". This the THIRD keyboard, that I am on, and they ALL loose the letters, pretty fast. It hardly pays, for me to buy yet another one, when I know, that the letters on that one, will disappear as rapidly as the others have. The following letters, are completely gone , from my board : w e r t y i o p a s d g h c b m . To add insult to injury, I am a TERRIBLE typist, and have a form of dyslexia. I AM NOT A VICTIM. I am just somewhat incompitent as a typist . Yes, I SO miss far more typos, than I catch and fix. I do usually proof read, before I post. WebTV, is different from a computer, in that it will often do things, that one as NOT actually asked it to do. When the batteries begin to run down / have run down , letters WILL be doubled, trebled, and even omitted / skipped, no matter what one has really typed. It will also post , BEFORE one has pushed the post button , and much more.
I am NOT, in any way excusing my posts. If ,as you claim, you agree with me 90 % of the time, on 90 % of m posts, then jst try to ignore the mess I usually make, trying to get the message out. I make MORE sense, than most people, who post PERFECTLY typed replies. : - )

Many thanks ! : - )
People, who use replies to complain about typos, have NOTHING of value to say.

Thought police, spelling police and now the typo police.

Yep, and most of that stuff comes from people who DO use this site not only as a sandbox, but as a chat room, a singles bar, and a soft porn site. : - P ~~~~~~~~~~

Blue Murder was a band in the late 80's that never quite reached one hit wonder status as far as I can remember.
