The funny thing about this situation is that, unlike the National Enquirer which has reportedly been associated with Clinton lawyer David Kendall, the British tabloid press is completely unrestrained. There have been rumors of Chelsea's drinking binges in the past but they have largely been suppressed in America's press. I think that the British tabloids have a "take no prisoners" mentality and aren't likely to cut her any slack; in fact, consider the drubbing they've given the British royals, Clinton should expect no different treatment.

Earlier this year I was disgusted to see the media exploitation of the Bush children by the tabloids and this tripe is no better. Teenagers and people in the early twenties have been known to get drunk long before Chelsea Clinton and the Bush girls arrived.
