I bow to you madam!

If truth be told, I too have to travel 20+ miles a day on slippery roads to get to work, so I have been as happy as a lark not to have to endure these conditions over the past few months.(My children are reveling in what we have though, as they scurry out the door to make snow angels, and "S" forts.)

I do feel better though that our sun is climbing a bit higer now, and day by day we will continue to grow longer in daylight!

I remain, Your humble, and obedient!

Awww, you are making me blush here sweetie!!! LOL.

Seriously, the drive didn't used to bother me, until my very close near miss last December when I thought for sure I was going to be sandwiched between 2 cars and a bread truck.

I am glad I have a lot of vacation days saved up in case I want to take a snow day.

MM I have one too. We had a dog run for her. The first and second days she was in there, over the top she came. Grunting, groaning and then flop to the ground, happy as a clam at high tide, to be out of those confines. The dog run is now a garden room.

Did anyone just watch the FOX news where they showed who all died this year? The song they played in the back ground is a pretty song. Does anyone know the name of it? Sounds like it belonged on the Titanic sound track, sort of slow and haunting...

SEND US SOME COLD TO THE COAST OF MS! PLEASE! I got my fireplace cleaned yesterday and the cold left.

Not to worry sir, the forecast for next week is currently showing lows at night in the 30's & 40's, so me thinks you will get some good use out of your fireplace! Daytime highs in the 50's & 60's (oh well, this is the south afterall!) Here is the local forecast:

This is winter?!?

Thanks for the info. re: anesthesia. I haven't decided yet. I've had bad experiences with "local" anesthetics but I guess he's suggesting something more like what you described. I really, really, really want to be asleep, whatever it takes. That's the point I must make clear to him.

BTW, meant to tell you: Our choir did an a capella version of "Go Tell It On The Mountain" for Christmas that was just fabulous; very jazzy & up-tempo, in 4-part harmony.Fun stuff. Also a version of "The First Noel" in 4/4 time, which sort of gave me a headache, but it's because it's set to the accompaniment of the Pachelbel "Canon." Very pretty.

Cassie update: Neighbor down the street had caught her, but she slipped her collar off and eluded him. He came to tell me and give me the collar. I got my coat and said I would come get her. I opened the front door, and there was the dog, who stuck her nose in the house, and then took off again.

I followed her down the street, calling her, and then gave up. I started walking home and she was following me, so I went in the back gate, leaving it open. She came in, saw me, and ran out again before I could close the gate.

FINALLY, she got cold and came into the back yard, whereupon I sneaked out through the garage and shut the gate behind her. Then she still wouldn't come in the house (no doubt thinking she would climb the fence again) so I had to entice her in with Charlie's cat food on a dish.

She is now snoozing and is in much disgrace. I am worn out.

I did hear the President is going to appear to take some questions in about an hour. This should be interesting.
