Freepers, we have a problem: Our enemy has no nickname.
In each of America's significant wars, we've given nicknames to the enemy: Redcoats, Johnny Reb, Billy Yank, Krauts, Japs, Charlie, etc... the Militant Islamic Terrorist needs one now!
Remember, our enemy has no common ethnicity or nationality. He speaks many different languages. The term should be as applicable to Johnny Jihad Walker as to Osama and Omar.
I love how the Afghans called Al Qaeda "the Tourists." That's the spirit. Get creative, Freepers, we're making history!

Some of the professionals call them "Islamists," and distinguish between "Islam" (good) and "Islamism" (bad). Somehow it's not very catchy. Trouble is, the catchy words are all too politically incorrect for these troubled times. These days, you're better off blowing up buildings than calling people names.
