I live in New York and there is nothing WORSE than NBC. The hand wavers get a chance to be on TV and their family get a chance to see them on TV. NBC is a constant repeat of old news. Since Curry and Lauer went to NBC their ratings have been dropped. In Nevada NBC is nothing more than lies and spin. Before Nevada was able to get Foxnews, NBC controlled the news and kept the people in the dark, the dumbing down of America. Take away the hand wavers and NBC would have to close up shop. NBC needs to take a good look at their ratings since Curry and Lauer came aboard, down, down, down. Wake up NBC, time to start firing if you want to stay in the game. I KNOW NOBODY THAT HAS ANYTHING GOOD TO SAY ABOUT NBC EVERYONE SAYS THE SAME THING, I DO NOT WATCH NBC. I WON'T BUY ANYTHING FROM A COMPANY THAT SUPPORTS NBC.

And Katie Couric was just given a huge raise to something like $13 million per year. Go figure.

Her name will no doubt appear many times in this year's collection of worst reporting awards, rivaling Bryant Gumbel.

Well, SY, I read through them once, but to pick my favorite one would require that I would have to suffer through them again. I don't think I could stomach that at the moment.

Articles like this by the MRC, IMHO, are the most concise and persuasive evidence available that the media are horribly biased.

I hope you had a splendid Christmas and that God keeps you and your loved ones safe and prosperous in the new year.

"Now, the list of the judges who gave generously of their time to complete our extensive ballot and return it to us in under two weeks..."

I'd personally like to take a moment to thank these people listed for what they've done in the face of uncertainty & some mighty strange times media-wise, indeed.
Methinks that listing of people are the future face of the new, emerging media we'll all be seeing a lot more of in the coming months & years.

The worst dream we of the political right could've imagined happened when the union of so many splinter groups of freaks & misfits on our Left these past ten years took place; & their paltry successes wouldn't have been possible without the help of their Lamestream pals.
Now, as those small, pathetic splinter-forces unravel at the seams, begin to face the lie themselves & all the chaos that implies?
They'll surely suffer their long overdue ideological hangover induced by nothing less than their America-HATING reckless abandon.

Concurrently, we of the Right are set to temper our individuality long enough to come together & assemble a mighty force to be dealt with.
Balance, freedom, our American way is our only goal & very close at hand.

It's then time for the Left to have a few nightmares of their own; as their time has come and gone.

A special thank you to the CCRM core-peoples is also in order.
Starting with the nicest person anyone on this forum could or will ever know...and a patriot without equal, I might add; ol' bert.
There's Peacerose, Caly, & FGS...whose efforts at achieving the seemingly impossible cannot be measured; they're simply priceless to the cause.

Lastly, a thank you to this curious Singapore_Yank character.
Whose love for & of liberty, truth, & justice easily surpasses that of a large number of people who're living in the very nation who'd be known for embracing such virtue.

...nice job you guys; one & all.

One of the things I'm looking forward to doing in the New Year is reading Bernard Goldberg's new book. Have you read about the feathers he's already ruffled? Newsmax reported that Rather was in a "fury" over the book. And MRC still has a clip on their website about an exchange between Goldberg and the former head of ABC News.

Ha! I fooled you. I was in Singapore for 2 and a half years, but as of two weeks ago I'm in middle Tennessee with uncertain plans to return to Asia. Strange being back in America after so much time away, but nice.

Carve Clinton Into Mount Rushmore Award “

Throughout the eight years that he was in office, President Clinton warned us that the next great menace was international terrorism....He also brought unprecedented prosperity to our nation, and because of that, President [Bush] can use the surplus Mr. Clinton left behind to pay for many of the nation’s needs in this time of crisis....This lecture series is about the human spirit. To me and millions of others, President Clinton has always personified that. He is the man from Hope, and that is what he has given us, hope. We miss him. Thank you, Mr. President.”
-- Former UPI White House reporter Helen Thomas introducing Clinton at Oct. 9 Greater Washington Society of Association Executives lecture shown on C-SPAN. [80 points]

"He is the man from Hope, and that is what he has given us, hope. We miss him. Thank you, Mr. President.” We need Helen Thomas to tell us that? We were hopeless before Bill Clinton rolled around? Thanks Helen. I did not know that.

People that think Bill Clinton was(is) soooo grrreeeaat are the most foolish people to walk on the face of the earth. And to think individuals get paid to write that tripe. Hopeless indeed.

"Ha! I fooled you."

A hollow victory, 'Yank.
Foolin' me has to be one of the easier things in life there is.
In any event, welcome home.
Wished I could say it's safer here; but then, we've already had our one, daily alotted laugh, eh? :o)

Your uncertainty concerning returning to the pacific rim?
Reminds me of something which happened to me some 8 years ago.
A dear friend of mine moved to Charlotte, NC.
At some point he tired of my emails whining about Liberal Illinois, where I'd been living at the time -- as opposed to his new [more] conservative home in NC?
He suggested I pack-up Ma and my business & move down to NC, closer to him.
I told him I'd sure enjoy the area & people, alright; but, I suspected I was badly needed in the Champaign-Urbana area, more.
One of my more ideologically pious moments, I like to believe. {g}

...hell's bells; the net-effect was to shut me & my whining up, forevermore.

I'm sorry. I've said it before and I'll say it again. It is grossly unfair to let Bryan Gumble and Eleanor Clift participate in these competitions! They are such flaming leftist, **it-for-brains, America haters that they should be declared "emeritus" and excluded from competing in future. We all know that they will be instructed to say outrageous, anti-American, anti-Bush/Republican things every week. They should be included in a "Professional Media Clymer" category, perhaps.

Yes, I have and I'm looking forward to more. I'm more interested in the reception Goldberg's book gets than in the book itself.

Helen is a 100% "I hate Republicans" liberal. I'm sorry, but Klinton never warned us about terrorism - in fact he lied and covered it up Helen. He never met with his CIA Director because he did not see it as important,

He did nothing over 8 years and at the end of his term he pardoned FALN terrorists who killed 6 people and maimed many others including NY's finest. He also pardoned 2 60's lefty terrorists of the Weathermen Underground who took part in the murder of at least 3 people, including more NYPD officers, as well as bombed the office of Senator Byrd in 1983.

Bryant Gumbel: “At the risk of starting an argument, are you a believer in global warming?”
Mark McEwen: “Absolutely.”
Jane Clayson: “Of course.”
Julie Chen: “Yeah.”

Well that's all the proof I need.

He is the man from Hope, and that is what he has given us, hope. We miss him. Thank you, Mr. President.”(Helen Thomas)

I'm surprised she could say anything with her mouth full...YIKES!!!

That is good logic. Wherever there are four people who agree on something, that something should be made into law or public policy.
