These workers may have few skills in your eyes, but, they do provide services to Harvard that are needed by Harvard, and Harvard is loaded with money -- and, Cambridge is an expensive place to live in or near.

You'd think that someone in Harvard's administration could have figured all this out before the students resorted to a highly publicized protest. But, I guess not.

They can bus in from other neighborhoods and if they give up the job hundreds would come to work for $8 an hour.

The job is a starting type job unless you are without skills. The market place should set the price.

The only help I would give them would be free parking if they drive. If they want to make more they should go work at a grocery store. Then after 2 years they'd get the $15.
