December 26, 2001 -- THE weekly strategy meetings at the White House throughout 1995 and 1996 featured an escalating drumbeat of advice to President Clinton to take decisive steps to crack down on terrorism. The polls gave these ideas a green light. But Clinton hesitated and failed to act, always finding a reason why some other concern was more important.

The proposal called for a federal law which would require that drivers' licenses expire when visas do for foreign citizens and that no permits be issued to illegal aliens. Traffic cops would be able to check to see if those they pulled over on the highway were in the country illegally. If they were, they would be arrested and sent to the INS for deportation.

What?  And lose all those DemocRAT votes?  Besides, Don Tyson might get into a huff over losing his workforce and quit sending money.

Waiving of sanctions afforded an excellent means of raising political contributions, presidential "library" contributions, etc. It is comical how the media always wrote up Clinton as a great fund raiser - the fact is that he put the government up for sale in a way that had no precedent. He has now retired with untold millions as a result of his own and his party's corruption. I used to think of democrats as people with some differences in belief about the appropriate functions of government. Now I think of them as fundamentally corrupt and indifferent to wrongdoing.

It's more than mere neglect -- it's a willful avoidance of dealing with the "hard stuff." You see, a legitimate battle against the terrorists would have not only used up much of his political capital, but would have exposed as a lie the mindless mantra of "8 years of peace and prosperity" that the left-wingnuts have been bleating.

Fighting a real war against terrorism would have blown the sacred surplus, and let's face it, the economy was pretty much the only thing that kept him insulated during impeachment. A weak economy would have made more people willing to toss his blubbery ass out of office.

There is only one solution to illegal immigration.

Implement asset forfeiture laws. It is illegal for them to be here. It is illegal to hire them. It is illegal to transport them. It is illegal to harbor them.

Seize all the assets and property of the illegal aliens, the businesses that hire them, the vehicles that transport them, and the homes of those who harbor them. Sell the property at government auction, split the proceeds among the federal, state, and local government. Then deport the criminal aliens.

If the bureaucrats realize that, they can make MILLIONS/BILLIONS of dollars, by enforcing the laws. Illegal immigration will end. If these “asset forfeiture” laws are good enough for Americans, they are good enough for criminal aliens.

Those delusional few who have stated that “these poor migrants just want to work”, need to go to any welfare office or county hospital for a reality check.

These “migrants”, criminals, are stealing from our children, parents, and from U.S.

Ethnic politics clearly linked to 9/11. It's the same with 8 USC Section 1357, the 1996 law which empowered police to arrest illegals. Neither the U.S. Justice Dept nor INS established the training program provided for under this law. However, such training is not required if state laws do not prohibit enforcing federal laws including "aliens not lawfully present in the United States."
