This is a poorly written poll which says more about the presuppositions of the author than it does about the subject. A better poll statement would be:

I believe the original manuscripts are authoritative, whether in matters of history, theology, or geography, etc..

As a geologist I would have to say that the Bible was never intended to be a scientific explanation of the world.

Which is equivalent is saying there is no authority.(No original manuscripts.)

Thats exactly we have so many bible versions and pastors spewing out they're own ideas instead of the Word of God.

They have no authority except themselves, as evidenced by the subject of this article
